The Emotional Rollercoaster Of Post-Grad Job Hunting As Told By “Gilmore Girls”

"Oy, with the poodles already!" Adulting is hard.

    You've finally graduated!

So, you start applying for literally *any* job that you are even remotely qualified for.

When one of your friends gets a job, you’re ecstatic for them, but slightly jealous.

The wait to hear back from places you’ve applied to is agonizing.

You’re so excited when you receive your first response back, but it turns out to be your first rejection.

And then, you start realizing that jobs won’t hire you without experience, but no one will hire you to give you the experience you need!

All the people in your life keep giving you advice that you have already been given, and it doesn’t help you in the slightest.

Sometimes you start talking to someone about the job search, but they don’t understand your frustration and their eyes start to glaze over as you continue to speak.

But, at least you have some friends in the same boat as you to commiserate your unemployment with.

More rejections start flowing in, and you are very close to losing it.

Eventually the only thing that makes you feel better is a hug from Mom and a good shoulder to cry on.

But then, someone finally calls you in for an interview!

Your interview goes great, because public speaking is one of the top skills listed on your resume.

Hopes are high for this job. But, in the end, you don't get it.

Back to the drawing board to start all over.
