1. But first coffee...or tea

@jensane Instagram / Via

No matter who you are, what you do, where you live, everyone could use a pick-me-up or nice refreshing beverage during the day, middle of the day, or right before heading out to partayyy.

The nice thing about this gift is that you can be extremely flexible with your budget whether that be a $5 gift card or $50. If you feel like you want to add a little something extra with the gift card, you can pair it with a thoughtful holiday card or a cute mug that they can enjoy time and time again.

Obvious recs : Starbucks and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

2. I woke up like dis, I woke up like dis.

Head to Sephora or the nearest ULTA near you and grab some beauty products because who doesn't love to be treated like a KWEEN. Get some makeup, skincare and/or hair gifts.

Now I know what you're thinking, beauty products can be expensive and intimidating to buy for someone else but if you're not trying to break the bank, try getting some travel sized products for those perfect stocking stuffers!

If you didn't already know, ColourPop is manufactured from the same company that produces Kylie Cosmetics and Kim Kardashian Beauty. So save yourself some $$$ and check out ColourPop's website. They have a variety of makeup products that are super affordable, I'm talking about $5 for a lipgloss! You really can't beat that drugstore price.

Skincare Recs: Boscia "Multi-Masking Medley" ($18), Nudestix "3 Piece Mini Set" ($24), Drybar "Detox Dry Shampoo" ($23), Origins "Origins Super Stars" ($20).

Makeup Recs: When it comes to gifting makeup, err on the side of caution, and avoid the bright oranges or neon green lip colors. Go for a more neutral tone that will complement any skin tone. The shades from the iluvsarahii collection are a safe bet to go with.

3. Less talk, more water....

Bella Beat / Via

With this next gift you can go as fancy or as simple as you'd like. Sometimes when we buy gifts for friends, they don't get used, but this next gift will for sure change your friend's hydration habits.

Everyone wants to drink more water because there are so many health and beauty benefits to staying hydrated. While a water bottle is simple in theory, there are actually a few things to take into consideration, but rest assured I've included a few great options for everyone. There is even a water bottle from BellaBeat that tracks your water intake and sends drinking reminders when you're not staying hydrated!

Recs Office/Home Bottle: Swell, Hydro Flask, BellaBeat

Recs Outdoor/Activity Bottle: CamelBak, Hydro Flask

4. Nothing says BFF like matching necklaces

@traveloutloud / Via

Remember when you were in elementary or middle school and you'd get your bff a matching/complementary necklace??? Those were the good old days... so in the spirit of the holidays or any special occassion, why not gift your bestie with a necklace.

Jen Kirkman (Comedian) teamed up with BaubleBar and released a necklace collection that speaks to the Millennials, the Thirty-ish, and the OverForty females who are loud and proud to be Single, FeministAF, and/or ChildFree. Seriously, check them out, there is a necklace for everyone.

Also these necklaces are customizable, so the next time there is a Women's March or a Beyonce concert, you will want to wear the FeministAF necklace LOUD AND PROUD!

The Future is Female, so ladies hurry and cop yours before the collection ends on December 31st. GOOOO!

Recs: FeministAF, ChildFree, Not Today, CatLady necklaces

5. Take a photo it'll last longer

This next gift is also a gift that will keep on giving, who wouldn't love one of these adorable cameras to capture and share sweet memorable moments. In today's world we constantly take so many photos and keep them stored in our camera library or on social media, but how often do we have hard copies of these images???

The next time you show up to a holiday or white elephant party, this gift will for sure be a hit among the crowd.

Tip: For those of you who have Amazon Prime get one for $60 shipped to you within 2 days without even leaving your home!

6. Namaste in bed

The holidays are filled with good spirits, pumpkin flavored drinks, and the cold (typically unless you live in LA which in that case is 72 and sunny year round). Why not gift someone you love with a beautiful soft blanket that will keep them warm on those cold winter days.

If your friend is super into the DIY or knitting, buy them something from Wool and the Gang that they can make themselves, or if you're into these fun projects, hand make a sweater, blanket, or scarf for your friend! The projects on this website aren't your typical boring scarf or grandma blanket, these creations look like items that could be bought straight from Urban Outfitters.

Recs: Wool and the Gang, Etsy, Amazon, Nordstroms, Ross

7. The gift that keeps on giving...

Hello Subscription / Via

So if walking into Sephora or browsing for makeup/beauty products online isn't your thing. You're more of a one-stop shop type of gal, then this might be a good alternative solution for you to go with.

A beauty subscription box that you can give your friend(s) for a month, 3 months, 6 months, or a year! Leave the picking to Birchbox or Sephora's Play folks and take all the credit for your friends new found favorite products.

This gift can be especially good for your friends who travel often, as most of the products are sample/travel sizes which makes it easy for those carry-on bags.

Subscriptions start at $10/month, so check out the options and pick the best one for you or a friend.

Recs: Birchbox, FabFitFun, Sephora Play, Ipsy

8. Hotline Bling Accessories

WattzUp Power / Via

Let's face it, everyone spends most of their time glued to their phones, and they typically have the same case that they bought when they first got their phone. Do yourself a favor or a favor for your friend and give your phone a makeover, out with the old and in with the new. Especially if you can't afford the latest model that just came out.

A new case makes your old phone feel brand new, and while you're at it, might as well Marie Kondo your phone. Organize and delete apps, photos, messages that are just taking up space. Start the new year organized and re-energized.

Recs: Velvet Caviar (~$25), Skinnydip London (~$25), Society6 (~$35), Kate Spade (~$40), Nordstroms is a good bet for a good mix of different styles, WattzUp Power chargers ($22)
