A Letter To Millenials On Behalf Of Gen Z

This 'generational war's is one-sided and slightly embarrassing

Dear Millenials

We don't care. Yep, you heard us. We understand how hard it is to hear those words but believe us. We don't care.

Times change

This generational war is one-sided. Considering you are all 24-38 and Gen Z is 9-23...it's also kind of embarrassing... Fact is though, trends change.

You guys had your own trends

Remember those *ehem* glorious days of low rise jeans, messy buns, avocado obsessions, mustache tattoos, teal jeans, high pony tails, side parts, Tumblr, zigzag stripe pattern, polka dot pattern, heels with everything and Miley Cyrus naked on a wrecking ball? Because we do.

Well now our trends are here

We have different trends. Things like middle parts, baggy clothes, platform shoes, thrifted everything, heart shaped patterns, strawberry patterns, TikTok, sweater vests, baggy crop tops, and more. That's the general stuff. We have specific aesthetics too. Urban, vsco, eboy, soft girl, alt, basic, cheeto girl, dark academia, light academia, vintage, cottagecore, kidcore, indie, etc. What do you expect? Times change.

Everyone is cool though!

But not to worry. As Gen Z, we pride ourselves in our differences, we express our beliefs without shame (even when we deserve to be shamed) and we love how everyone looks and dresses. You could walk 24/7 in cosplay and we would probably think you're cool. Millenials, you aren't teens anymore. You're all grown up and what was trendy when you were a teen just isn't trendy now. That doesn't mean you should stop wearing it.

But seriously stop.

You're adults fighting a one-sided generational war with the generation that literally doesn't care about anything. I mean c'mon, Gen Z has lived through 600 "this is a historical moment" before we even graduated high school. Give us a break. Go wear your side parts happily and do your own adult thing (i think you all call it adulting). Just be yourself and stop attacking little children.
