I learned about the MagnoGrip Magnetic Wristband when I featured it in a post about the top gifts on Amazon. I was a little skeptical at first, because it sort of looked like part of a costume from a low-budget sci-fi series.
Basically (actually, wholly), it's a Velcro wristband with a magnetized area to keep nails, screws, drillbits, and hairpins close at hand so you don't have to scramble around for them mid-project.
And despite my baseless misgivings, the reviews (much like the hips) don't lie. More than 80% of the MagnoGrip's almost-2,000 reviews are four or five stars.
The wristband's magnet can hold up to 1 pound of stuff — which seems like kind of a lot to bear for one wrist!
Bottom line: If any of the projects on your to-do list require the use of small, easily misplaced bits of metal, this under-$10 accessory will make it way easier to do the work (🎶 work, work, work, work 🎶).
