30 Cleaning Products With Before And After Photos So Satisfying You'll *Want* To Spend Your Saturday Cleaning

I can't go out, *cough* *cough* I'm cleaning.

    1. A container of The Pink Stuff, because this is a dramatic before and after cleaning post, so OBVI I had to include this stuff. This slightly abrasive paste is literally amazing and can clean all the dirt and grime off any surface that you couldn't get rid of with any other products. Over 100,000 people gave this five stars, so if we haven't influenced you to buy it yet, now is the time.

Reviewer's sink on the left covered in pink and blue hair dye, sink on the right clean
Reviewer's open toilet seat with stain / same toilet seat clean

Promising review: "Finally got around to trying this stuff. Lived up to the hype, really a 'miracle' paste as it is effective at cleaning many things. So far, I’ve used it to clean my stove, stainless kitchen sink, and shower (doors and all), and it worked. Also got rid of a deep stain on my kitchen counter that Clorox wipes couldn’t get out. Picked up so much dirt the microfiber towels I used got thrown away; I couldn’t see them being cleaned well enough to reuse. Seriously thinking about ditching all my other kitchen/bathroom cleaners and just using this because so far, it seems to do it all. And it’s not super expensive either. They’ve got another fan in me!" —sunsean

Get it from Amazon for $5.97+ (available in three quantities).

    2. A shower cleaner that doesn't require scrubbing. 😩🙌🏼 Just spray it on, and leave it while you go clean the rest of your house. When you wipe it away (8-12 hours later), you will be *shocked* by the results.

Reviewers suggest using this product for a few days in a row if you have extensive buildup. Once you get rid of that, you will only need to use it once weekly as recommended.

Promising review: "Holy cow! The only thing I'm mad about is that I didn't know about it sooner! I have three teenage daughters. My shower sees body oils, creams, hair dye, etc. DAILY. Scrubbing once a week wasn't enough. The girls didn't always remember to use the daily shower spray. This stuff WORKS! I can see the difference after two uses two days in a row. Could see a change on day one. I think one more use will have my tub looking like I scrubbed with bleach for an hour!" —Jon W.

Get it from Amazon for $19.95+ (available in two quantities).

    3. A stain and odor eliminator to clean up those tough messes you've already used sooo many products on. Not only will this stuff get rid of the stain, but it will get rid of the smell…pet stains can be STANKY, iykyk.

Rocco & Roxie Supply Co. is a family-owned small business named after the family's pets Rocco, a Labradoodle, and Roxie, a former shelter tabby cat. They make a variety of pet supplies, including cleaners, treats, grooming tools, accessories, and toys.

Promising review: "I have an elderly dog who has occasional accidents and a cat with chronic bladder issues. Without this product, I’m pretty sure I would’ve burned down the house. On fresh accidents, it works with just one treatment. It removes the stains, and more importantly, it completely removes the odors. On older, setting stains, it completely removes stains and odors after several repeat treatments. I’ve tried so many products over the years. Hands-down, this is the best." —SR Kelly

Get it from Amazon for $19.97+ (available in two quantities).

    4. A pack of dishwasher cleaning pods that clean the nasty you can see, but also the *nasty* you can't see. Just place one where you would put a normal dishwashing pod, and marvel at the results.

Promising review: "I had so much white scale on my dishes no matter what I did. I even bought a new dishwasher about 18 months ago, which did the same thing. I had to rewash dishes after using the dishwasher from all the scale on it (no matter what I did, it happened). I actually stopped using my dishwasher because it was more trouble than it was worth. I tried one of these tabs with little confidence. The dishes had no scale! None. I have done about a dozen dishwasher cycles since the one time I used the tab, and I still haven't had any scale on my dishes." —gar 3

Get it from Amazon for $8.99.

    5. A pumice stone toilet brush reviewers repeatedly call magic, and once you see the results, you will understand why. Those rings you've had around the toilet in your basement for years will finally disappear.

FYI – this isn't only for toilets; you can also use it to clean other bathroom surfaces, grills, rust on metal, and other surfaces! Just be sure to test a small surface for scratch resistance.

Promising review: "If you're like me and stay up at night tossing and turning because you know your toilet bowls have hard water rings around them...then this is the answer. It's a truly magical tool that provides an unreal cleaning experience. Wish I would've started with this before going through half the cleaning product aisle. Amazing. And a nifty sanitary case as well (didn't expect that). Very happy." —Rich

Get one from Amazon for $11.99+ (also available in two- or four-pack).

    6. A ChomChom to remove all the pet hair that is still on your couch even after you've vacuumed. This little tool works on pretty much any surface — furniture, upholstery, blankets, clothes — and you don't have to worry about constantly ripping off *another* sticky sheet because one quick swipe typically fills it up (at least it does when I try to use them to clean my clothes...).

Gif of reviewer using ChomChom to get rid of pet hair
Reviewer holding open ChomChom with a ton of hair inside

Promising review: "I opted to buy the original ChomChom in the hopes of at last having something practical that will help us remove black cat hair from upholstered and carpeted areas of our home. I've used several things over the years, but nothing really worked 'as advertised.' The ChomChom made short, easy work of cat hair removal! No electricity, no big complicated two- or three-part device...just a well designed, efficient roller that gathers up hair as one rolls it back and forth and deposits it in a closed compartment, easy to clear out for dumping into the trash. Now, if someone could explain to me how one small cat can continually produce and shed so much hair, I'm all ears." —Marilee

    7. Or an aesthetically pleasing, reusable lint removal brush because some people want everything to not only work well, but to look good while doing it. This lint removal brush creates no waste and has a comfortable wood handle to make cleaning a breeze.

    Modern Pets Living/Etsy

Modern Pets Living is a small business based in Newport Beach, California that combines modern design with traditional pet products.

Promising review: "Very excited about this. So nice to be able to get through all the dog hair without either using wasteful, single-use traditional rollers or an all-metal one that would pull up on my rugs. Also, I didn't realize how big it would be, and I was very pleasantly surprised!" —Bree F.

Get it from Modern Pets Living on Etsy for $14.99+ (available in four quantities and three colors).

    8. A shower door cleaner that will make your glass so shiny that you will have to take caution to stop your pet (or maybe your partner) from running into it face first.

Promising review: "This product completely removes soap and hard water stains from clear glass shower doors. I spread it on with a soft scrubbing pad — a little goes a long way — rubbed in circles, and rinsed with clear water (I used a pitcher and poured it across the glass) — twice. No streaking, no smearing, absolutely clear. I will be buying again." —Sallie C.

Get it from Amazon for $11.65.

    9. A bottle of Dawn Powerwash with so many uses — tires, cupboards, obviously dishes, and more — you may get carried away trying to find the next thing in your house that needs a deep cleaning. For really stuck-on messes, simply spray a layer and leave it for a few minutes. When you come back, you'll be able to wipe away all the grime.

Promising review: "My daughter told me about this, but I thought it was just like the regular Dawn dish soap. When she finally showed me how it worked, I couldn't believe I was washing dishes without it for so long. It's amazing for all the caked-on baking dishes, and it cuts through grease like magic. And it even worked when cleaning my stove, cabinets, and cupboards. It makes all the caked-on grease and grime disappear. I 100% recommend this product." —Maria K.

Bonus! This stuff doesn't just work on rust stains around your house; it is also safe for fabrics and can get out those tough yellowy stains on your clothes.

Promising review: "We get bad hard water stains in our shower, and it's a chore I DREAD doing. Our shower was so grossly stained orange from the hard water even after a vinegar clean that it was embarrassing. I've tried everything from a natural cleaner to strong CLR types of cleaners, but nothing compares quality OR cost-wise to this product. This will be a repeat order from me. I didn't even have to scrub or wipe. After spraying and letting it sit for about five minutes, it practically took care of itself. Stains that were a bit more ingrained took a small bit of effort to wipe off, but nowhere near the elbow grease I needed to previously put into cleaning. After only spraying, it was practically gone just from that short soak. I feel so much better about the cleanliness of my bathroom now, and don't feel embarrassed to leave the curtain open. Excellent product!" —Alyssa G.

Get it from Amazon for $11.30.

    12. A pack of cleaning sponges that work on household surfaces, cars, shoes, really anything that you need to clean. These are extra thick, so they can handle bigger messes without you having to constantly grab a new one. But if you do burn through one, don't worry...this comes with 20.

Promising reviews: "I had not been a believer in the supernatural. When I purchased and used this product, that changed instantly. I know what I've seen, no one can convince me otherwise; these truly are magic." —Gregory C. H.

"Removes what everything else I tried couldn't. I was able to clean all of the upholstery on my '34 cruiser with one block, but the block was pretty much history by the time I was done. I'm sure the next one will last longer since all the nasty stuff is now gone. I bought a 20-pack, and I suspect that it could last me the rest of my life. A great value for the money." —Amazon Customer

    Get a 20-pack from Amazon for $11.35.

    13. A cooktop cleaner to take the stress out of cooking, because cooking = messes. I know there's been at least a few (a lot of) times I have been cooking and my pot boils over. I'm *adding this to my cart* so now I can actually solve that problem instead of just staring at it wondering if I'll ever be brave enough to cook again.

The kit includes cooktop cleaner, cleaning pad, cleaning pad grip tool and scraper.

Promising review: "I especially like the razor. I have a brand new glass top stove, and the first couple nights, already got something stuck on, which no amount of scrubbing (three types of scrubbies) would remove. Very frustrating. I saw this in a list of Amazon favorites and ordered. It worked the first try!!! Razor is an enormous help, but the liquid is excellent, and having the scrubby mounted on a handle gives it a lot more oomph. I won’t be out of this ever!" —Bev K.

Get the kit from Amazon for $11.53+ (available in regular or reusable).

    14. A nontoxic oven cleaning kit that will restore your oven to first-bought freshness. The plant-based ingredients are strong enough to give your oven a deep clean without any toxic fumes.

Promising review: "In my kitchen especially, the detailing on my cupboards and floor molding were starting to look like they could grow a garden in them. I saw a review for this tool, took a chance, and just completed two cabinet doors in 20 minutes that would have taken me forever by hand (toothpick, toothbrush, etc.). Love it!!! I learned not to press on it; the circulating bristles don't require any pressure. Just let them do the work. Can't wait to attack the baseboards and feel clean again." —Ms.Mac

    16. A plant-based stainless steel cleaner that will remove all those mysterious drippings on the front of your oven, fridge, and honestly all your stainless steel appliances. Just spray it on, wipe it away, and watch your streak and smudge-free appliances shine.

Promising review: "I have tried numerous stainless steel cleaners, most more expensive than this one. Most were aerosol and messy. None of them were plant-based. They all smelled like chemicals. And it was always a game of Whack-a-Mole when it came to streaks. I got to the point where I was upset with the people behind stainless steel appliances. Therapy Clean works exactly as it should. No streaks. The product even comes with a microfiber cloth! The trick is not to use a lot of the product while applying, and then using the dry part of the clothe to wipe off the excess." —Big Mama Shakes

Get it on Amazon for $19.95+ (also available in two- or six-pack).

    17. An Angry Mama microwave cleaner that truly encompasses all your feelings after your partner let their sauce explode in the microwave...AGAIN. Just add water and vinegar, microwave mama, and watch the crud come melting off your microwave.

Promising reviews: "I moved into this house over a year ago and haven't been able to get the gunk out of the top of the microwave no matter what I've tried. Used this ONCE, and it's more than halfway gone!! SOOOOOO HAPPY!! Didn't have to scrub very hard or anything; it just came right off. It'll need another time or two of use before it's all the way gone, but I can't tell you how impressed I am. It smells like vinegar when you're done, but not for very long. Super easy to use and definitely worth the money." —Briona

"Did I need Angry Mama to clean my microwave? No. But did I want it? Heck yes! Did it clean my microwave? Heck yes, it did! Am I banned from ever using is while my sister is around? Promising review: "We have a beautiful small oak top end table which we used as a plant stand. We set the plant pot on a ceramic trivet, thinking that would protect the table, but recently, I overwatered the plant and water leaked out and sat, overnight, on the wood. The result was an unsightly whitish stain on the wood where the water was. We tried baking soda and Vaseline overnight with no significant improvement in the look. Largely to end the narrative of how 'your plant' damaged 'my beautiful table,' I tried the Guardsman Water Mark Remover, not expecting it to work. To our stunned surprise and delight, it lifted the whitish stain, leaving only a small area on the edge of the table where you can still see where the stain used to be. As my wife kept rubbing the damaged area, I kept saying 'It's working!' until my wife finally had to admit it essentially made the stain unnoticeable. It is rare that you see something this simple and cheap work so well. Kudos to Guardsman!" —Dr. Doctor

Get it from Amazon for $9.99.

It does do the job it was purchased for, but also would be fun to put in my jacket pocket to fiddle with when I get bored!" —Donna

    20. A no effort stain remover designed to do all the work for you. Just turn it on, set it on the stain, and this machine will spray, brush, and suction away your mess. It has two settings, one for quick cleaning, and a more powerful mode for deep stains you may have been neglecting.

For those messes on your couch or any other place you may not be able to set this machine, there is a brush attachment so you can clean every mess, no matter the surface.

Promising review: "This worked even better than I expected! My dog had three nights of that horrible medicine/sickly induced diarrhea. I already hand scrubbed my wool entry rug and used my upright carpet cleaner (w/ pet stain tool), and I was sure I was just going to have to replace it (which was very expensive). My co-worker swore by the SpotBot, and it was better to spend a fraction of the cost as a latch ditch effort. Totally in awe of how simple and completely effective! Easy to fill up, pretty sizable tank but not heavy to carry. Literally just set it down and push the button, and it dings when it’s done. I only had to use the quick clean setting (especially on wool), and you can’t even see where the accident happened." —SW

Get it from Amazon for $185.39.

    21. A container of OxiClean stain removing powder that is so versatile there are over 101 ways to use it (laundry! pet stains! grout cleaner! carpets! It even works on set-in stains, so don't worry if that stain in the corner has been there for years.

Reviewer's dirty and brown sneakers / same sneakers now a light grey and clean

Promising review: "I have a canvas tote bag that I put a vacuum sealed piece of beef liver in from a farmer's market purchase. The liver thawed out when I was jawing away with a health food buddy in his store. The bottom of the tote bag became a bloody mess. I soaked it overnight in warm water/OxiClean in my kitchen sink and was shocked to wake up the next morning with the stain completely gone. Very impressive stuff!" —Bee2Bee

Entire ecosystems were killed, but it needed to be done." —Karanbir S.

Promising review: "This stuff is amazing. I was cleaning my jetted tub with bleach and thought it was clean. Boy, was I wrong! When I ran this stuff through, the most horrific crud came out. Working quickly, It was two and a half or three minutes for the set and would be longer for the double wide window blinds, so about 30 minutes to do my full house. But being able to do both sides at once is a big time-saver. After doing a set myself, I gave it to the house cleaner, and he thought it was fantastic and wanted the link to buy it himself. Promising review: "Went camping with my sister-in-law and brother. Used this mess kit pot to boil water over the flame, so it got all sooty and gross. Tried cleaning it with the chain mail scrubber, but sister-in-law said she uses this stuff! So, I tried it. WOW! I’m sure I could get it even sparklier with a little more time and elbow grease, but it’s just a camping pot. Still, look at that shine! I really didn’t expect that. Totally recommend!!!!" —Frequent Shopper
