If you were obsessed with the old-school Tamagotchi, love taking care of stuff or just generally adore randomness, you'll be happy to know that in Montreal, you can now adopt your very own Giant Sunflower! I know, I know - that was EXACTLY what you wanted your whole life. But if you're wondering how your childhood dream got to become reality, this is how it actually happened:

.. that wanted to do something special for the Gay Village's 35th birthday and Canada Pride.

They mapped over 100 empty street spots

And planted Giant Sunflowers where there should be a tree

But even though they're supposed to be giant, right now they're just babies
