Can they *really* be both affordable and high-quality?

Hi, we're Valeza and Jess! We love fashion and literally shop on Amazon for a living, so naturally we've come across some gems that we wanted to try out for ourselves.

We've heard great things about Amazon Essentials fashion but had never tried any pieces out for ourselves – so we thought we'd pick some bits out to see how they feel and look IRL. Here's what we thought...

1. I love this workout top for a breathable gymwear option...

"It's great for layering on chillier days but also feels soft, is quick to dry, and despite being quite fitted still feels super flattering and comfortable whilst moving."

"They've passed the squat-test numerous times and are fast-becoming my go-to gym legging. The material is thick enough that you feel confident moving freely, while also feeling like it's not making you super hot or sweaty. I'd say the fit is pretty generous too."

4. This statement Amazon Essentials dress boasts a waist-nipping feature and flattering draped detailing.

"This dress was one of the surprise hits of my order. It's made out of quite thick material, and sits nicely on the body. If, like me, your top half is bigger than your bottom half you might want to size up, but it buttons at the waist to nip you in. If you hate super tight dresses, then this gives the fit of a more figure-hugging style while also giving a draped finish. Sadly it's currently out of stock in navy, but it also comes in tons of other shades!"

5. Every time I look in my wardrobe, I always think I could do with a black pyjama set to lounge in. Not only is it ideal for avoiding staining on light PJs if you fake tan like I do, but it's also a low-effort yet stylish errand-running option when teamed with an oversized jacket.

7. I’ve been looking for a comfortable pair of yoga flares for the longest time, so I was thrilled to stumble across these affordable-yet-super-high-quality ones on Amazon!

"They have a very high waist, which sort of holds me in and doesn’t even roll down during downward facing dog (normally my biggest pet peeve with yoga attire!). They’re so unbelievably comfortable that I’ve been known to wear them all day – even before and after a yoga sesh! I adore the slight kick flare that has a flattering effect without getting in the way of yoga poses, and I find them true to size (I’m a UK size 10/12 and got them in M for reference)."

"They didn’t have the black bra in a size M so I got an L (as I hate too-tight sports bras with a passion!). It is *slightly* too big, but I don’t mind that too much as yoga is a very low-impact exercise, so I wouldn’t need too much support, plus it feels super comfy as a result. I love the cross-back detail, which I feel adds a stylish flair and together with the high-quality, stretchy-yet-supportive material, makes it feel far more expensive than it actually is!"

9. I was so impressed with the quality of this long sleeved running top…

"I’d been looking for some long-sleeved tops to work out in during the winter, as most of mine are either sleeveless or cropped (or both, TBH – I hate too much excess material when I’m working out!). This top feels flowy and comfortable and the sweat-wicking material stays dry, so I’m warm – but not too warm – while running outdoors! I also love how the thumb loops keep my wrists and part of my hands covered in the cold."

"I should mention that these tops feel incredibly soft to the touch. I got the cream one in a size L as I wanted to try more of an oversized fit too, and while I like the comfortable flowy-ness, I’d say I still prefer my usual size M (á la the green top above), which felt oversized but not too long or baggy."

11. I was clearly living out my dream of looking like Cameron Diaz in The Holiday with this sleek baby blue turtleneck jumper.

"I love the fine knit material of this jumper! It feels thin enough to comfortably tuck into jeans and skirts while also keeping me warmer than a T-shirt. The high neck feels really sleek and covers me up without feeling at all restrictive or tight, and I feel it’ll make a great piece for layering under chunkier knits when it’s *super* cold!"

"I adore the earthy brown colour (aptly named ‘coffee bean’) which I know will suit the many neutral-toned pieces of clothing I already own. The ribbed wide-leg fit is also both flattering and comfy!"
