Hi, I'm Jess! Until a few months back I was a relative newbie to Amazon fashion. Determined to see what the fuss was about, I've now been converted. I'm the first to admit it can sometimes be a little trickier to shop, but there are some gems so it's well worth your time IMO! ✨ My Amazon fashion shopping hacks ✨
✨ If you find an item you love, click on the shop name above the item. Chances are the store has other items you'll like that might not have shown up in your search results.
✨ Read the reviews! Sizes can sometimes be confusing on Amazon shopping and often come in S,M,L etc rather than UK dress sizes. Check any conversion details the seller gives and try to choose products with plenty of reviews. You'll often notice themes about quality and fit in the comments. Sometimes people even leave photos of themselves wearing the item which can be super helpful!
✨ Choose products with images from a variety of angles if you can. Often if a model is posing unnaturally or at very specific angles, it might (not every time!) mean that the item doesn't fit especially great from certain sides. It's also a good way to avoid finding out that dream dress you've bought is backless when it arrives!
✨ Take note of any common themes in the product titles of items you're searching for. If you find many of the listing results aren't what you like or there aren't many results, try searching for some of the other terms that the sellers list in their headings.
✨ Check how easy it will be to return the item. Clothing is often a higher-value purchase, and because it has to fit you, you might be more likely to return it than other products.
✨ Take a look at Amazon's 'pay later' option which is available on some items. This allows you to try the item on at home and return it if it's unsuitable without being charged.
✨Don't dismiss items with longer delivery dates. You may need to be a little more patient, but sometimes you can bag a bargain.
✨Read the full product description. It sounds obvious, but often they're littered with information. Sometimes because there's a lot to read through it's easy to skim over it, but the product names can sometimes be confusing so it's good to delve deeper to see what's included and get details on the fit and style.
✨ Images may not always be styled to your liking, but it's worth trying to look past it and think about what you'd pair the item with.
✨ Don't just filter your search results by price, type the price you want to pay into your search query.
✨ Check Instagram and TikTok for Amazon fashion favourites – there's often some gems to be found!
