Have you ever found a beauty or skincare product that was so perfect it instantly became The Holy Grail Item?
In my case, it was Bite's original-formula agave lip mask. After trying it out for the first time, it wasn't long before I started buying four or five tubes at a time whenever they went on sale.
It was the only thing that kept my lips moisturized without having to reapply every half hour, but when the company relaunched as a vegan brand in early 2020 — in effect eschewing the ingredients that made it so effective — the mask was rendered useless to me.
It took nearly two years of (sometimes expensive) trial and error, but I finally found a comparable product: Lano's Golden Dry Skin Salve.
After months and months of dry lips, it was a real hallelujah moment for me.
What about you? Is there a beauty or skincare product you had to stop using — whether because it was discontinued, reformulated, or any other reason? If so, what did you end up replacing it with?
