For most people, it can be a blessing to have the financial support of a relative.
But sometimes, they do something so terrible you just can't justify taking their money anymore.
Maybe it's a grandparent who unexpectedly reveals themself to be a raging bigot when you introduce them to a new partner of a different race or same sex.
Or an aunt who is happy to fund your college tuition — as long as you get your degree in a major you have no interest in studying at a school you have no interest in attending.
Or, it could be one of your parents, who cheated on the other one with their best friend of 20 years.
