If you've never been homeschooled, it's hard to say for sure just how big of a shock to the system it can be to start public school.
I myself was always a public school kid, but got to view such a shift from the sidelines after becoming good friends with a couple kids who had been homeschooled for roughly a decade before transferring to my town's local high school.
If you, like my pals, spent a good few years being homeschooled before switching to public school, let me know some of the biggest changes you encountered — maybe it was suddenly being thrust into a weird social hierarchy.
Or, maybe it was just not having your parent/s or guardian/s around all the time.
Or, maybe it was suddenly being surrounded by anywhere from dozens to thousands of kids on a daily basis.
