Wasabi The Pekingese Won "Best In Show" And I'm Pretty Sure He's A Pokémon

    Wasabi, I choose you!

The 2021 Westminster Dog Show set the stage for some of the good-est dogs in all the land.

Meet your 2021 "Best in Show" winner, Wasabi the Pekingese:

A Pekingese running on a leash

That's right. This 3-year-old ball of fluff posing as a dog managed to come out on top, and could there be any other choice? Just look at him.

I'm pretty sure this is a scrapped design for a Pokémon, maybe in its second evolutionary stage. I mean, check out the million-dollar grimace.

Owner David Fitzpatrick seems to be able to carry Wasabi like a tiny, hairy football, and I'm pretty sure the baby has retractable legs. (Wasabi, not David.)

Then again, I don't know a ton about dogs. The only dog I ever had was Tekno, and to this day, I'm 60% sure he wasn't a real dog.

Safe to say the internet was pleased with the decision:

Wasabi might have a ruff time getting around with all that gold, but champions got to live their lives somehow.
