    Spoons Of Anarchy

Veteran James Rice of Alamogordo, NM makes mind bending motorcycle sculptures out of nothing but welded spoons. It takes a second look to realize they aren't real motorcycles.

Take a second to think about the utensil you used today to eat your ice cream, soup, or Açaí Bowl. Look at it! Now imagine someone who looks at that, and thinks, "This would make an incredible motorcycle sculpture!". It sounds like it shouldn't make any damn sense, but James Rice on Instagram as Everlasting Spoonful makes it look like a perfectly natural medium to use.

His latest sculpture, named "The Roadrunner", is a culmination of his art and the new state he calls home, New Mexico. It is the first bike he has sculpted, start to finish, since moving to the White Sands adjacent town of Alamogordo, NM.

He makes his sculptures using nothing but bent, cut, and welded spoons. He has had to come up with new tools he's invented himself, to get the exact bends he needs for certain parts of his bikes. He refuses to use heat to make them easier to bend, as it will discolor the stainless steel.

He's been featured in Ripley's Believe It or Not comics, Camel's "The Hump", and has won numerous awards in various art shows.

Although he usually shares some of his build progress as he goes, the current bike he's working on has been keep mostly secret. Rice promises it's going to be his most mind-blowing yet, with "sick details no one will expect".

Whatever magic Rice is cooking up, it looks like it promises to be incredible. We're all going to Stan the hell out of him for it. While we wait, feel free to check out what he's doing here, and check out all of his sculptures here.
