A Blockchain Gaming Company Just Partnered With Nova Esports — Millions of Gamers Rejoice

With blockchain technology disrupting many industries, Buzzfeed takes a look at a recent partnership between Gizer and Nova Esports that could pave the way for the future of gaming.

A partnership between Gizer Gaming and Nova Esports could change the future of mobile gaming and esports. Gizer is a New York-based technology company using blockchain to create a more transparent and efficient gaming community. Gizer became a promising prospect in the gaming community when it was named one of the “Top 14 blockchain companies of 2018” by Entrepreneur. Based in Asa-Pacific, Nova esports is a “bottom-up” esports organization; focusing on creating a network of fans and content creators that has reached up to 775,500 followers.

    Blockchain—  The Future Of Gaming?

This partnership between Gizer and Nova will serve as a first true testing ground for the application of blockchain in community building within gaming. This will mean more access to events, luxuries for players, and connections to all parties of the industry.

We can expect to see more of the following:

    ● Tournaments — The combination of active community members and technology suggests there will be more daily tournaments, which can be hosted by anyone.

    ● Player Engagement — Gamers can create a unique identity, with items and achievements being represented on the blockchain. Gizer’s site claims “ Users will be able to collect items for rank, store statistics, and customize their appearance to gain prestige within the community”.

    ● Content Integration — Content creators from YouTube and Twitch are an integral part of the gaming industry and Nova’s strategy. With planned integration of big content platforms such as YouTube and Twitch onto the Gizer network, content creators can seamlessly grow their content following on all platforms.

Nova Esports CEO, Anthony “AY” Yeung will be joining the Gizer board of advisors as a result of the partnership.

With the mobile gaming industry set to be a 100 billion dollar industry in 2021, gamers should be well informed about new and emergent technology that could change their gaming experience. Blockchain technology like Gizer’s will serve as a potential way for gamers to be more connected and interact more efficiently.
