While “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” is correct in it’s assumption that for generations women have had to learn to fight with their words and actions, as we are (in general) smaller in physical stature than men. That does not mean we can not exhibit our fury without showing grace and sympathy. Below a tale of heartbreak unfolds by way of a Craigslist’s “Missed Connections” post that I found and took the liberty of editing. Enjoy.

The post below was listed by my boyfriend of 6 years. We live just 2 blocks away from where you had your little trist and I could have walked in at any moment. He also told me that he informed you of our relationship and you still asked for his details. I want you to know I have your description, and a life in software has taught me some cool tricks on how to find people. While he maintains you never slept together, we are still going to get STD tests because who the hell knows what diseases you carry. But even through my anger and hurt, I want you to know that you and I both deserve better than a guy who would cheat on his girlfriend. I don't fault you for your mistake, as how could you have known he was the man who I held when his grandmother passed away? Or that I wash his clothes and keep our apartment clean? Or that I have built his ego up and encouraged him to seek larger opportunities when he thought himself unworthy? You could never understand the bond between two people that have stood beside each other for 6 years. I encourage you to find your own happiness as we attempt to rebuild ours, since neither of us is willing to throw it all away. Maybe I'll see you around, but hopefully you will find the courage to work on yourself and build a life with someone who's trust and love can be earned .
