reviewer image of the black mesh office chair
the same chair shown in an office setup with a lumbar pillow attached

Promising review: "I got spoiled by a Herman Miller chair at work. I've been putting up with some cheap cloth and foam computer desk chair for years. Now that I'm a bit older, and do some work at home, I needed more comfort and support, and this chair works for what I need and it didn't cost me $800. Granted this one isn't as adjustable, and the lumbar support isn't pronounced, but it is soooo much better than what I had. It might be difficult for some to put together, as it can be a bit heavy for one person, but the weight also contributes to the 'well-made' feeling once put together. The best thing about this chair is the size of the seat, which fully supports my butt, and back of my thighs, all the way to the back of my knees. The neck support is nice too, but I could see some being irritated with the limited positioning — it can be removed." —Christopher L. Dulawan

the pink coffee warmer on a work desk next to other pink accessories
    Jenae Sitzes / BuzzFeed, www.amazon.com

Reviewers suggest turning the heat down from high to medium once the drink gets down to about the halfway point so it stays a comfortable temperature!

After seeing this coffee warmer all over BuzzFeed Shopping and even gifting my dad one for Christmas, I finally decided to buy one for myself. Based on all the reviews, I was pretty confident I'd soon be kicking myself for not getting it sooner, and that proved to be true: This thing not only looks good, but works great for keeping my coffee warm all day long (because yes, I'm one of those people that'll sip on coffee until 5 p.m., all right!!). I was kind of worried it'd be too small for some of my larger mugs, but the center plate is bigger than expected and accommodated every mug in my (very eclectic) collection perfectly. I can confirm that flat-bottomed mugs are the best option for using with this warmer as they do stay hotter, but it still keeps my concave-bottom mugs warm enough for my taste. Also, I looove how sleek the white version looks on my white desk, and the auto-shutoff function is a nice safety feature as an absent-minded person.

I use it with a keyboard to the left and then an Apple trackpad to the left of the keyboard for scrolling and panning. It’s comfortable and easy to use. I decided that working from home called for a bit of an upgrade, so I bought this one after my husband raved about the one he bought. So far, I love it! It is very soft and feels great to rest my feet on, especially when my plantar fasciitis flares up. I have a FlexiSpot electric standing desk at home (this one, specifically) and love it — it's a great brand, and mine hasn't given me any issues over the past few years.

Promising review: "For 20 years, I owned and sat at a sturdy, wooden desk that I picked up at Goodwill for $50 in 2002. It served me very well for a long time. However, since recently moving into a new home, I wanted to make a change to something cooler, more modern, adjustable, and incapable of incentivizing me storing junk. I saw this desk on Amazon, read the good reviews, and determined this was the one. After assembling it, I am thrilled I chose this one. With a press of a button, I can raise and lower it to appropriate heights for either comfortably sitting or standing (I'm 5'10"). The material itself is very sturdy. There are NO drawers, which, after 20 years having the other home desk and having desks at work, I realized that drawers do nothing more than collect and store junk. Can't do that with this desk as this desk encourages minimalism and storing that junk somewhere else, i.e. probably the trash while I keep this desk tidy. Assembly was fairly easy. Definitely recommend." —David Taylor

I've had this exact lumbar support pillow since 2018, back when I was still working in an office, and I can't express enough how much it's improved my posture and reduced back pain after long hours of sitting. I initially got it because I was stuck working in one of those awful office chairs with zero lower back support, and years later, I still use it at home, even though I have one of those fancy gaming chairs with built-in adjustable lumbar support, simply because I prefer how soft and comfortable this pillow is. It fills the curve of your spine *perfectly*, and you can adjust the positioning as needed, with straps that go around the back of your chair to hold it steady. I personally use it in conjunction with the ErgoFoam footrest, and I never have back pain after working anymore.

Promising review: "Upgrades your cheap office chair. I had bought a typical chair for my home office for around $150, expecting to use it one to two times per week. Then COVID-19 hit and I started working from home every day, so sitting on my chair for 40+ hours per week. After a few weeks, I started getting pain I'd never had before, kind of in my butt, turned out it was probably my sciatic nerve. I was trying all kinds of yoga, stretching, walking instead of running — anything to figure out how to stop it. Then at some point it occurred to me that it might be my chair. I bought this cushion and the pain disappeared immediately, and after about four months it has not returned. One tip though ‚ this cushion put me up about two inches higher than I was before.
