I had been searching for this style planter at the larger retail home decor stores but they were always so expensive! Then I found this listing that offered three sizes for less than one planter in my previous searches. Score! 100% recommend these. They look amazing." —Kim.84

One reviewer specifically recommended these insert pots with drainage to go with this set; you can see how well they fit here.

Promising review: "We have a small kitchen, but wanted to start a little herb 'garden' during quarantine. Decided to buy this because it matches the midcentury modern style we have going at home, and it adds nice layering and personality to the kitchen by the window. It's easy to assemble and is perfect for growing little herbs (currently got sage, oregano, and cilantro in there)." —Babadook

Get it from Amazon for $50 (available in four colors).

    8. A set of two white planters with gray and gold accents that complement each other without being too matchy-matchy. Note that these don't have drainage holes — which might be ideal if you're not looking to deal with any leaks on your furniture.

Promising review: "I love how these planters look. Minimal, but with a cute contemporary look. I love how they look like a set, but not identical. The only tip I have is to make sure you are careful when repotting, and not to touch the sides with dirt on your hands. They are slightly porous, so it will show stains. I was able to wipe it off right away, but just an FYI." —Diana

Get it from Amazon for $29.99+ (available in two sizes).

    9. A vibrant blue glazed pot gorgeous enough to buy as accent decor for a room, filled or empty — but it looks especially pretty sitting in a brightly lit window with a plant inside.

    Jenae Sitzes / BuzzFeed

I have had this pot for years and love it! Though it comes in multiple colors, I have the blue floral design in large, and it's as vibrant in person as it looks in the photos. It's a bit heavy, so keep that in mind if you're planning to put on a shelf, but I like that it's sturdy enough that my cats can't knock it over accidentally, and it feels very high quality. Do note that this pot doesn't have a drainage hole in the bottom! I have my ZZ plant inside a smaller pot (the one it came in) that I set inside of this one for decorative purposes, and I just take it out to water — easy peasy.

Promising review: "Love it, super pretty! The color is a real beautiful blue and it looks great in my kitchen window. Happy with the quality." —kacchic

Get it from Amazon for $12.98+ (available as a single or a pack of two).

    11. A vintage-inspired patterned planter that looks like something you might have picked up at the local antique shop, with natural-looking imperfections that look handmade (in a good way). Reviewers say it's heavy and feels well made, too.

Promising review: "The pot I received is very nice. Yes, there are slight inconsistencies, but to me it looks very authentic and handmade. The pot is super sturdy and as another reviewer mentioned, it seems much bigger in person. I really like that this pot was designed with a removable drainage hole. You can water the plant, and when the water has drained out simply wipe off the bottom and reinsert the drain plug and place it back on the counter — unlike other pots where you may need to wait hours for the bottom to fully dry. I'm very happy with my purchase." —Lori Colt

Get it from Amazon for $18.11+ (available in three sizes and five colors).

    12. A ceramic and steel tabletop planter to provide a sleek, modern home for your favorite succulent. It's the perfect size for a desk, if you're looking to add some greenery to your workspace.

a pair of white planters with copper stands

Promising reviews: "Exactly as pictured! I wanted a planter that was on the smaller side, but was still an elevated planter-in-a-stand variety. On a practical side, the planter stays level in the frame, even when slightly jostled. I put a couple of succulents in it, an Echeveria, and one of the creeping 'string of' varieties." —NB

"GREAT VALUE! They have no drain holes, but I added a layer of rocks for the succulents to have some drainage. They look beautiful and do not feel cheap at all." —Cassie Santellan

Get it from Amazon for $17.05.

    13. A mid-century, two-toned planter topped with a reactive glaze that makes each pot truly unique, with a geometric pattern along the bottom providing striking visual contrast.

Promising review: "It is definitely a little smaller than I anticipated (medium size, I could have definitely sized up) but that would be for my lack of busting out an actual measuring tape. It's a great material, the design printing on the ceramic is vivid and clean not messy at all, and the coral color is not too bright but has the perfect 'pop' to it! The medium works, but I will definitely get the large also and make them a group! The mint is beautiful also and may end up out by my pool!" —Tiffany Paradise

Get it from Amazon for $41.93+ (available in two sizes and four colors).

    14. A gold turtle planter to remind you to slow down and take it easy sometimes.

    16. Or an assortment of minimalistic wall planters held up by striking copper metal, with one larger planter to offset the four smaller ones visually.

Promising review: "I needed a wall-hanging planter and this is exactly what I was looking for! It easily matches the rest of my decor and is really nice to look at. The planter came in foam and bubble wrap with original packaging, and arrived without a scratch. It's finished in the inside, so watering my plant while it's on the wall won't result in seepage. It came with instructions and hardware, super easy installation. I was worried that the white option would be difficult to keep clean, but everything wipes right off without staining. I have some tradescantia zebrina (wandering jew) cuttings I propagated in there, and as they grow they'll trail, adding a great pop of color to my living room. I highly recommend this planter." —Fox-c Anderson

    a 12-inch rattan planter
    Urban Outfitters

You'll want to put a potted plant in this, of course, and reviewers say the sizing is a bit awkward — it's relatively short compared to the diameter, and you'll want to keep the height of your inner pot under 6 inches. One reviewer recommends looking for a traditional bulb pan, or azalea pot, which is designed to be shorter and fits perfectly in this planter. Something like this should work!

Promising reviews: "Super cute planter!! I had been wanting it forever and finally snagged it. The size is definitely awkward but I managed to get a plant in there just fine with a fabric planter that I cut to size and a plastic tray under it, inside the planter (had to squish it in there). A little tricky but great!" —Leanna F.

Get it from Urban Outfitters for $59 (available in two colors).

The colors are a perfect variety of pastels. I paired with some bright succulents and they are a great addition to my living room decor. They do have little holes in the bottom for real planting. Packaged so neat and safe. Could easily gift them to someone. I kept the box and foam inserts to use for moving them." —Combatbarbie365

Four plants in the ceramic pots
    Amazon

Promising review: "This set of ceramic pots are gorgeous! They just arrived today and this review is either the first or one of two I have ever written on Amazon. They came well packaged, nothing was broken, they have a nice glaze, and also have drainage holes and saucers. I ordered some mesh to cover the holes. The ceramic is a smidge thinner than other ceramic pots I’ve ordered but, considering the size of the pots and the inclusion of drainage holes and saucers, I don’t think people should be picky. I’m certain I would spend over $10 for one of these pots in most stores. I also like that each pot has a different design. They’re beautiful! I believe this is a great investment and will add a nice touch to anyone’s decor." —Ju
