My wife is pregnant with our second baby and she was watching a YouTube video that mentioned eating the placenta. This made me curious to see if there really were benefits from this. I also just needed a topic to fulfill a school assignment. I learned the most with reason #5 though! Additionally, the tradition of a mother eating her placenta after giving birth, has been around since as early as 1578. Most likely even further back, but there is no written proof.
