1. McGriddles from McDonald's Flickr: adrianlai A McMuffin, but with pancakes drenched in maple syrup as the bun. It sounds intense, but in a good way. 2. Funnel cake Flickr: khowaga It's made with a kind of doughnut/churro batter and would be an excellent seaside food. 3. Midnight Mint mocha Frappuccinos View this photo on Instagram instagram.com Not only did we miss out on Unicorn Frappuccinos, now we also have to be jealous of this minty, chocolaty one. 4. Buttered popcorn at the cinema View this photo on Instagram instagram.com Hopefully this will one day become a cinema staple, but it certainly hasn't just yet. 5. Olive Garden breadsticks Flickr: judybaxter If, like me, you were confused when Americans talked about breadsticks because you thought they meant the slim, crunchy things we have in the UK, you'll be surprised to know what they're actually referring to is far more impressive. 6. Cheesecakes from the Cheesecake Factory Flickr: -salvaje- They have over 30 cheesecakes, including chocolate chip cookie and tiramisu flavours, and who knows what other kinds of delicious cheesecake varieties we're missing out on? 7. Mac n' Cheetos from Burger King View this photo on Instagram instagram.com It's macaroni cheese covered in Cheetos, so, like, a lot of cheese. 8. Pizza rolls View this photo on Instagram instagram.com I mean sure, you could make them if you really wanted, but why aren't these readily available in supermarkets yet? 9. Panera Bread sandwiches (and bagels, and pastries, and paninis...) Flickr: wwnorm No disrespect to meal deal sandwiches, but Panera Bread ones would be a good addition to work lunches. 10. Corn dogs Flickr: krakatoa We love foods covered in batter here in the UK, so really it only makes sense for us to adopt sausages covered in cornmeal batter into our cuisine. 11. Lobster rolls Flickr: frivolous_accumulation How this hasn't become ~a thing~ in the UK is beyond comprehension. Sure, you can get them at a few restaurants but you have to really go looking for them. 12. Baconator fries from Wendy's View this photo on Instagram instagram.com In the UK we've pretty much nailed putting lots of toppings on chips, but these french fries with cheese and bacon look so good. 13. Ding Dongs View this photo on Instagram instagram.com Chocolate cakes are amazing as it is, but these chocolate cakes with a cream filling are even better – and would probably be nice with a cup of tea. 14. Cinnamon Bun Oreos Flickr: like_the_grand_canyon Cinnamon buns are delicious as it is, but combined with Oreos they sound so damn good that you might have to find an American lover willing to bring them to the UK for you. 15. La Croix View this photo on Instagram instagram.com Mostly out of curiosity and also because regular ol' sparkling water is pretty divisive, so some choices would be nice. Is it really a hipster drink? Which flavour is the best? We will never know because it's hard, if not impossible, to get hold of here. 16. Snow cones View this photo on Instagram instagram.com How have we not caught on to this simple enough combination of shaved ice and syrup? 17. IHOP pancakes View this photo on Instagram instagram.com Sure, you can get American pancakes here, but finding an ENTIRE restaurant dedicated to them isn't easy. 18. Girl Scout cookies Flickr: dearbarbz365 OK, so we don't have Girl Scouts so the chances of us getting these is slim. But every variety sounds great, so we can only hope. Especially the samoas: biscuits with caramel, coconut, and chocolate.
