Here Is What It's Like To Try Zone Manhattan, The Best Diet-To-Your-Doorstep Meal Delivery Service

Zone Manhattan is a healthy meal delivery service that offers customers in the New York Metro area the quality, convenience and reliability of freshly made, well-balanced meals.

A couple weeks ago, I had a chance to try Zone Manhattan, which delivers ready-made chef prepared meals to each customer’s door every morning. Zone Manhattan follows a 40/30/30 ratio of 40% calories from carbs, 30% calories from protein and 30% from favorable fats to balance the correct amount of amino acids with carbs to help control the appetite and prevent overeating.

Every meal is crafted specifically for each individual customer – whether gluten-free, paleo, vegan or vegetarian - and tailored to personal preferences, food allergies, or dietary restrictions. Upon signing up for a plan, customers will have an initial consultation with a dietitian to discuss menu preferences and health goals.

Meals from Zone Manhattan (three meals and two snacks) are delivered in a convenient cooler bag with ice packs every morning right in your doorstep as early as 5 a.m. Meals are made daily by highly trained chefs in the company’s test kitchen using the locally sourced ingredients purchased that morning. Unlike other food delivery services or meal kits that require prepping and cooking in the kitchen, Zone Manhattan meals are ready to eat in 90 seconds or less.

Breakfast

The menu changes daily - for breakfast on my first day, I enjoyed a frittata of spinach, turkey bacon, and swiss that required 1 minute of heating in the microwave, along with sliced cantaloupe.

Lunch

Lunch menu highlighted Alaskan king crab with black bean pasta and shaved fennel. The meal also included fresh vegetables that complemented the dish well.

There are two snacks that you can munch on during the day - one is usually a savory dish, while the other is a sweet one. I enjoyed the baked ziti and garden vegetables with beans, as well as the lemon poppy and raspberry shortcake.

Dinner

For dinner, I had rosemary roasted cod smothered in creamy sauce, and served with kamut and roasted parsnips, steamed asparagus, and cauliflower. Delicious and healthy!
