Trust – What It Is And How It Is Build

The topic regarding trust in our society is as old as humanity itself. This has been a problematic issue for many generations and only people are capable of having it. Animals also need to gain confidence in our intentions towards them but even if we fail them they are easily ready to forgive us. Yes, we talk mainly about dogs. They do not have our way of thinking and this is why when we lose their trust they usually avoid us for a while but then eventually come around and become our friends again.

With people it is really the case. Once we lose faith in someone we become disappointed and are willing to let this person go. This is not only about couples and families. This concerns friends and even relatives. Unfortunately history know many examples regarding families which have been destroyed by lies. Some factors affecting our leves of trust are:

But let's clarify that we show trust or lack thereof every day. We rarely pay attention to it but this is the reality. We are asked questions daily and we need to make decisions based on our trust which we vest in other people. When you buy bread you trust the brand in question. If you like it, you will buy it again tomorrow. The same goes for everything we buy in terms of food. If we are happy with how it tastes and with the way it looks like we are most likely going to become regular customers and always buy the same product. If once we get let down in a way, say you buy your favourite product after its expiration date has passed you might just stop buying it in general. This might even lead to you not visiting the store you used to because all of a sudden they started selling you old products. Other reasons might be:

    •Delays

    •Low quality

    •High Prices

Services are just as important. With food you start trusting a brand without even speaking to their representatives or workers. You just fall in love with a product, something they have given you indirectly. With services you directly interact with people and can immediately decide whether they are worth earning your trust or not. If your barber is incompetent you are not trusting them especially since they hold a knife this close to your neck. This is a big problem especially if you live in a big city. People are usually cold, distant and aloof. You need to really try in order to trust someone and this goes double if we talk about businesses. If you are trying to offer the best domestic moving options in Bromley then you really need to step it up. Do not overlook any aspect of your job because it all affects your potential clients. You want to have advanced tools and skilled workers. This will make you look trustworthy. Folks cannot just allow anyone in their home moving and lifting stuff. If you look professional they will gain confidence in you. You customer service needs to be off the charts. These people are basically your display window. This is who your customers contact first and they need to look buttoned up. Trust is earned, it does not come by default. If you start being sloppy with peoples goods and damage them regularly then they will lose faith in you. You also don't want to be late. People's time is very valuable so respect it.

What we described above basically translates in all fields. Even when it comes to personal relationships you want to be reliable, resourceful and to never be late. If you treat people properly and if they see that you are willing to go the extra mile on occasion, you will be happy to find out that they trust you.

You also need to put value on your trust. Yes, it might sound a little harsh and cynical but this is our reality. If loss of trust also leads to loss of funds people are extra disappointed. Here is an example. You buy a used car and it all looks good. The seller also agrees to change the oil as it looks pretty black. In a few days you get your car and they tell you it is ready to be driven. But the oil is not brown and is again black. What do you do? Do you pick up the phone doubting whether they changed the oil at all? You probably do. They tell you that they did but it is black because apparently the previous owner must have skipped a few regular oil changes and now the engine has dark residue inside. Great, do you trust them? Your other option is to have the car checked by someone else which will cost you. If you are willing to pay that price then you've lost faith in the car dealer who sold you the car. The question is what happens if it turns out that the oil has indeed been changed and that the previous owner hasn't been maintaining the car regularly.

Asking for forgiveness is also crucial. Mistakes happen and many times they might be very honest. It is not up to just the other person to see it and forgive you. You must do your best to explain that they should not lose confidence in you. Your actions then must back up your words and you need to prove that they haven't made a mistake by giving you a second chance. Don't play games with people's trust as it is a very sensitive topic. Some people are very gullible and can be easily manipulated into forgiving you. Others will cross you off their list of trustworthy people very quickly. Choose your friends carefully.
