Scottish Labour Can't Spell "Generation"

The party is standing up for the next "genertaion", whatever that is.

Scottish Labour's party conference in Perth has got off to a shocker with the unveiling of its new party broadcast, which misspells "generation".

The broadcast, which encourages voters in Scotland to "take a fresh look" at Kezia Dugdale's Labour party, was quickly taken down after the error was pointed out to party staff. Luckily, someone grabbed a copy.

(The spelling error is at 1:35.)

To the delight of journalists gathered in Perth, the mistake was noticed just 90 minutes into the conference.

"Genertaion" already has its own hashtag.

The referendum was a once in a #Genertaion chance...

    It's inspired a singalong.

People suddenly fancy a bit of Star Trek: The Next Genertaion.

Can't wait to get home and watch some episodes of Star Trek The Next Genertaion @scottishlabour #labourgenertaion

There have been calls to bring back The Genertaion Game.

Labour's Manifesto will commit to bringing The Genertaion Game back to our screens #scotlab15

People are wondering whether the slogan will get into one of the conference speeches this weekend.

I can almost hear the inspiring speech: 'Be the genertaion of change.'

It's really not inspired the kind of social media chatter around the conference that the party would have liked.

I've got a feeling that some of the best puns in a genertaion will be created today.

Even the first minister got in on the fun.

    I hope @scottishlabour have a good conference in Preth! #illgetmycoat #generation https://t.co/mwWSqeACtR

Anyway, the Scottish Labour conference carries on until Sunday, when the party will set out its policies to inspire the next genertaion.
