2. La Colombe Coffee

Where: 319 Church St, New York, NY 10013

Why: Full disclosure: This place is filled with people who do SoulCycle twice a day and eat quinoa for every meal. (But sometimes you're in the mood for that, right?) Plus, their iced coffee comes with an extra shot of espresso no matter what.

6. Sweatshop

Where: 232 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211

Why: This Aussie-run café is located right off the Bedford stop in Brooklyn. Usually packed, but never pretentious. Order the Sparky: espresso + club soda + lime.

Where: 325 Franklin Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11238

Why: Kitten Coffee is literally a hole-in-the-wall. It used to be a salon, and a candy shop before that. No seating, but great cold brew that will give you the jitters in a good way.

Where: 379 Broome St, New York, NY 10013

Why: They serve bulletproof coffee, which blends grass-fed butter into your coffee so that you can ~allegedly~ get a better buzz. (IDK? But it tastes good.) Also: super nice backyard that will make you feel like you're in LA.

21. Ralph's Coffee

Where: 711 5th Ave, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10022

Why: Hidden on the third floor of the Ralph Lauren store, this place is almost never crowded — and one of the few legit places to get a great cup of strong iced coffee in Midtown.
