    2. Stonefruit Espresso + Kitchen

    Where: 1058 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11205.

    Why: Stonefruit is a great place to go for a light lunch and to GET. STUFF. DONE. There's WiFi. Highly Instagrammable, too!

    3. La Colombe Coffee

    Where: 319 Church St, New York, NY 10013

    Why: Full disclosure: This place is filled with people who do SoulCycle twice a day and eat quinoa for every meal. (But sometimes you're in the mood for that, right?) Plus, their iced coffee comes with an extra shot of espresso no matter what.

    4. Propeller Coffee

    Where: 984 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11222

    Why: It's located right off the Greenpoint stop in Brooklyn. Free WiFi, super chill staff, and you don't feel like you're in some stuffy ~cool people only~ café.

    5. Gasoline Alley Coffee

    Where: 325 Lafayette St, New York, NY 10012

    Why: Solid, no-frills coffee spot. There's sweets, and four seats in the whole joint. Great for a pit stop.

    Why: The Chai Latté is fucking delectable. Great for an after-dinner stop.

    7. Sweatshop

    Where: 232 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211

    Why: This Aussie-run café is located right off the Bedford stop in Brooklyn. Usually packed, but never pretentious. Order the Sparky: espresso + club soda + lime.

    Why: Delicious hot drinks. (The iced could be better okay I’m going to be honest.)

    Where: 105 Freeman St, Brooklyn, NY 11222

    Why: It's quiet, tucked away, and the perfect place for a date or a solo "what am I doing with my life?" think session.

    Why: Kitten Coffee is literally a hole-in-the-wall. It used to be a salon, and a candy shop before that. No seating, but great cold brew that will give you the jitters in a good way.

    Why: Super-quiet, small place to take a second before pounding the pavement of the Bowery/Lower East Side.

    Why: This is arguably my favorite Iced Americano in NY. Take note: Their large is really a LARGE — plus lots of seating, and free WiFi.

    Why: Don't go without getting the New Orleans — an iced coffee brewed with roasted chicory, then cut with whole milk and organic cane sugar.

    Why: This place feels more like a really nice ~tropical living room~ than a coffee spot. Big couches, open skylight, and plants everywhere. Come here for the natural light!

    Why: Super cozy, friendly staff, strong coffee — and there are books everywhere.

    Why: New (and usually crowded) Brooklyn spot with a solid brunch, and a convenient to-go counter if you don't feel like waiting.

    Why: Hidden on the third floor of the Ralph Lauren store, this place is almost never crowded — and one of the few legit places to get a great cup of strong iced coffee in Midtown.
