What Was Something You Thought Was Completely Normal Until Your Partner Saw You Doing It?

So you're telling me it's *not* normal to spend 10–15 minutes choosing a mug?

If you've ever lived alone, then you know the many joys of not having anyone around to witness your daily habits.

Over time, these things become completely normal to us. I mean, doesn't everybody have a specific pillow designated for their phone to lay on overnight? Or keep food in the fridge that needs to get thrown away, but you're not ready to put it in the garbage in case of flies? (Taking the trash out is not always an option!!)

Or maybe, like me, you can spend several minutes choosing a mug in the morning because you think that the color and design of said mug will affect the trajectory of your day.

But then what happens when you move in with a partner, or even a close friend, and suddenly they get to witness you and the things you do 24/7?

Suddenly they see your habits (and you see theirs!) and everybody is all—

And—

And it ultimately leads to this.

So, if you've had an experience like this, I want to hear about it! In the comments below, tell me about behaviors you (or your partner) thought were completely normal until there was another person around to witness them. If you want to remain anonymous, you can submit your story using this Google Form.

Your experience may be featured in an upcoming BuzzFeed Community post!
