If You Want To Go Swimming At Uni; Just Move Into Unite Student Accommodation.

Our kitchen is a swimming pool but maintenance don't work weekends.

In 28 cities across the country Unite Students off many different types of accommodation for different price ranges and living arrangements. Seems great, on call security, modern accommodation and a safe place for students to live.

Well security is great, if anything the guys are the highlight of my night for the past few weeks. When you lock yourself out of your room, or even when you're a bit too loud, they are alright guys who understand students. For the last two nights I've basically been living in seaworld (and i'm not talking about the pet fishes).

Contrary to whatever Raheem Kassam calls me on twitter, I'm not a whale and I don't take kindly to my kitchen resembling a pool however, i would do tricks and flip upside with glee if they came and fixed the freezer.

in a 48 hour period the freezer has flooded the entirety of the kitchen floor, probably broke the hoover, made me and my two other flat mates lose a hell of a lot of food that is now unusable and well, they'll come fix it Monday. Because they don't work weekends.

Security brought us a pool noodle to keep us afloat due to the rising water levels.

So for the next 48 hours, we have, no fridge/freezer as it keeps turning off, a flooded flat and little or no safe access to the cooking facilities because its flooded.

If I had wanted to swim in the kitchen i'd of bought myself a paddling pool. Like this lovely one from Argos.

And obviously they'll only come monday if they don't have bigger emergencies, like Flat 110 burning their fish pie.
