As students walked into North Springs at the start of second semester, many if them noticed a colorful difference. Dozens of flags now decorate the rafters of the Main Hallway, creating a fun and inviting environment for all in the school. On why the flags suddenly appeared, our principal, Mr. Hanson commented that, "When you start thinking about what we stand for, trying to get college and career ready, it made more sense to start thinking about college flags." In my opinion, the flags completely change how the school looks from the outside. They bring color into a previously sterile environment and impact the students greatly. "I want kids to see that it's not just Georgia and Georgia Tech, that there are a bunch of schools out there that kids go to. It's very representative of all the opportunities that kids can take on when they go off to college."
