10 Reasons Why Game Of Thrones Season 7 Will Be AWESOME!!

Before you scroll down I should cry *SPOILERS*. But honestly, if you haven't been watching Game of Thrones by now. Where the bleep have you been!?

1. Season 7 will have the longest premiere yet!

Surely there will be nothing better to set off the penultimate season, than a juicy action-packed opening episode? At just a minute under an hour, it will officially be the longest opening since the pilot of the show, which narrowly wins at 61 mins.

2. There will only be 7 episodes.

Whilst I’m sure the initial reaction of most G.O.T fans will be horror. Actually, this is a good thing. By shortening down the season overall, it means there will be more action and screen time for the stars, and less filler cough cough endless inebriated Tyrian scenes.

3. Daenerys will finally make it home.

At the end of Season 6, we see Dany finally sailing with her army and dragons across the Narrow Sea. Season 7 swiftly picks up with her arriving in Westeros. Thanks to the recent final trailer for the season we can see her first stop will be her ancestral seat. Dragonstone.

4. House Lannister (Cersei) will most likely fall.

It is widely held that Season 7 will probably see the comeuppance of Queen Cersei. After all, Dany has bloody landed! With THREE dragons! Also, courtesy of the final trailer, we have seen a glimpse of a battle between the Lannister forces and the Dothraki and Drogon (Daenerys’ fav Dragon). Three cheers to the end of House Lannister! Well, namely Cersei, I’m still rooting for Tyrian. Maybe Jamie…

5. Jon Snow will meet Daenerys Targaryen (his secret aunt)!

After being named “THE KING OF THE NORTH!” Jon will undoubtedly be a major player this season. Leaked images of the cast on set, reveal a meeting between King Jon and Queen Dany. I smell an alliance.

6. Arya will kick ass!

At the end of last Season, we see Arya leaving Braavos, after completing her (Jedi) training at the House of Black and White. She has already begun her revenge, crossing names off her kill list. May the Many-Faced God be with her!

7. We will finally see the Stark family reunion.

The final trailer for the Season has shown us Arya on her way back home to Winterfell. But surely Bran, now the new Three-Eyed Raven, has finished his training in Witchcraft and Wizardry over the wall! Sansa and Jon are already united, hopefully, the four of them will be together soon enough! *tears up*

8. Ed Sheeran will feature in a cameo role.

It has been confirmed that Ed Sheeran will star in a cameo this upcoming Season. In an interview with The Hits Radio, Sheeran said “I just do a scene with Maisie. I sing a song and then she goes, oh, that's a nice song.” Arise, Sir Sheeran!

9. Winter finally came.

After hearing the infernal House Stark motto “Winter is coming” for what seems like an eternity. It has arrived, and it’s knocking on the front door. Or should I say the wall! Following the chilling insight we got into the White Walkers and their origin last season, I can only imagine Season 7 will blow our minds! Maybe “Walkers are coming!” will catch on?

10. Every Thrones obsessed fan will be posting hilarious content.
