3. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a beautiful story about two brothers named Edward and Alphonse. They used alchemy to try to bring their mother back to life even though human transmutation is banned. Their attempt failed and Alphonse's body disintegrated while Edward lost his leg. He sacrificed an arm as well to to bind Alphonse's soul to a suit of armor. Edward and Alphonse's childhood friend, Winry, makes prosthetic limbs for Edward. The brothers trained for years and go on a quest to restore their bodies by searching for the Philosopher's Stone.

2. Death Note

Death Note is a brilliant anime about a high school student named Light Yagami who finds a mysterious notebook. He learns that if he writes someone's full name in the book while thinking about how they look they will die. Light uses this newfound power to kill criminals because it is his sense of justice. Soon, a detective known by the name of L, decides to try and catch Light after finding out that there is a serial killer targeting criminals. They both try to eliminate each other without knowing each other's name or face. The series is a psychological thriller about two intelligent minds that clash. It is as if they are playing a game of Cat and Mouse.

1. Attack On Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin)

In my opinion, Attack On Titan is a masterpiece without a doubt. It takes place in a world where humans almost went extinct due monstrous humanoid creatures called titans. The scary thing is that titans eat humans because of pure bloodlust. Humanity built giant walls to protect themselves from the titans. The walls stood for a 100 years until the colossal titan broke the wall and all the titans came swarming in. Young Eren Yeager's mom was eaten by one of the titans which is why Eren swears to kill all the titans to avenge his mother. He joins the Survey Corps with which is a group that ventures outside the walls to combat the titans and try to discover more about them as well. The story follows Eren and his friends, Mikasa and Armin, as they go to war against the titans.
