That Time Kevin O'Leary Touched A Woman's Butt On Television

O'Leary, running for the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada, was asked about the episode after a candidates' debate.

Kevin O'Leary said Friday that he didn't remember if he had consent to "grab" a woman's butt on television.

O'Leary, who is seeking the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada, was asked about the incident after a candidates' debate held at the Manning Conference in Ottawa.

In a 2013 episode of the CBC show Dragons' Den, entrepreneur Nora Furber sought investment in her company, Monjeloco Jeans, which sells jeans designed to provide "round bums."

After the models showed off what the jeans could do, Bruce Croxon said he wanted to "touch one."

"I want to touch one, for sure," O'Leary agreed. "Can you please bring the technology over here?"

As one of the models stepped closer, O'Leary and Croxon appeared to touch her butt.

Asked by a reporter whether he had gotten permission to do so, O'Leary said on Friday that he couldn't remember, and that there was a lot of footage of him as an entertainer on television that was not pertinent to his political career.

"I honestly don't remember but I'm sure she wasn't offended," O'Leary said.

In a 2013 interview, however, Furber told the St. Albert Gazette that the judges had asked if it was OK beforehand.

O'Leary and the other "dragons" on the show did not ultimately invest in the company, despite expressing enthusiasm for the product. BuzzFeed News has reached out to Monjeloco Jeans for comment.
