Here's The Very Polite, Orderly Way Canadians Do Black Friday Shopping

"Excuse me, may I please inquire about your deals?"

Black Friday shopping in the US is pretty much synonymous with stampedes, fights, and worse.

But here's what it looked like as they opened the doors at a Best Buy in Montreal on Black Friday.

No elbowing, pushing or injuries. Canada step up your #blackfriday game. Covering the shopping for @Global_Montreal… https://t.co/zWslDnmDro

Here's another example from Halifax. Again: no hitting, no pushing, no trampling.

...and they're off to the races! @BestBuyCanada @CTVAtlantic

Yup, just a single-file procession of people looking for a few deals.

And here are the, um, "crowds" at Toronto's Eaton Centre.

Maybe Americans can learn a thing or two from Canada.

Ppl fight and shoot for Black Friday down here but up in Canada you get a welcoming applause as you walk in the store lol

    It's just more dignified, folks.

Then again, there's also one huge downside.

Canada is culturally distinct from the US in that our Black Friday deals are absolute garbage.

Hey, at least there's always Boxing Day. 🎁
