A Pokémon Go Player Was Almost Hit By A Car Because The Driver Was Also Playing Pokémon Go

Police in Innisfil, Ontario, say a woman playing Pokémon Go in a parking lot late at night was almost run down by a driver who was also playing Pokémon Go.

Cops were called around 2 a.m. after the woman said a car had almost hit her as she stood in the parking lot catching Pokémon.

"While officers spoke to the woman, the car returned," the South Simcoe Police said in a news release. "The driver admitted to driving the car while playing the game, and said he didn't see the woman while turning."

The driver couldn't be charged since there wasn't a crash, but police are reminding people to stay alert while using their phones.
