Pineapple Burritos Are Now A Thing At Mad Mex And They're Actually Delicious AF

You've heard of pineapple on pizza, now get ready for pineapple on burritos.

Let's talk about pineapples, aka one of the world's most divisive fruits.

There's a bunch of us, including me, who think it tastes pretty damn good on a slice of Hawaiian pizza.

And then there's the strong majority who have made it their sole business to tell the world how much they really, really, REALLY hate pineapple on their pizza.

I'm still made about that gross Hawaiian pizza my husband and I wasted our money on 27 years ago.

Whatever your opinion is, the cheeky lads at Mad Mex have decided to add some fuel to the fire by launching a "Pineapple Burrito".

Yep, you read that right. You can now opt in and add a serving of the tropical fruit to your usual burrito.

Being the extremely ~scientific~ journalist that I am, I went ahead and tried one of these bad boys to see if they were actually any good.

And to be completely honest...the pineapple tasted nice! It added a sweetness to the burrito that I wasn't expecting to like. The only down side was that there was not nearly enough to enjoy, plus it made the burrito extra soggy, which I wasn't a fan of.

Meanwhile when Sohan tried a bite, she compared it to eating lychees or pineapple with Thai food, which is a vibe I could definitely get behind.

But don't take our word for it! If you're keen on trying the Pineapple Burrito, it's available for a limited time at Mad Mex stores.
