This Parody Of The "Friends" Introduction Perfectly Sums Up Australian Culture

One of the characters being called "Barkin' Doggo Man"? Sounds about Australia.

Even if you're not a huge fan of Friends (cough, that's me, cough), chances are you're familiar with that iconic introduction and theme song to the series.

Featuring that ever-so-popular fountain scene, orange couch and clapping sound effect — all set to "I'll Be There" by The Rembrandts — it became part and parcel of the hit sitcom and just as well known.

Over the years, there have been multiple parodies of the Friends opening sequence. But none have hit as hard as this Australian version, which well and truly sums up our nation in the best way possible.

Created by bumbleybeee, it starts off with an idyllic image of what looks to be a Sydney intersection — complete with a man just casually lying on top of his broken down car with his pants off.

Continuing on that theme of "an average day in Australia", we see someone use a kayak — most likely in Queensland — to access their local Macca's drive-thru.

This is followed by a montage of "just Aussie animal things", where we see a huge — like nightmarishly huge — fish leap out of the water, a horse casually grabbing some lunch out of an esky and a fuck off massive snake chilling in the kitchen.

Like in the original opening sequence, we're introduced to the lively cast of characters that would make up the 'Strayan version of Friends. There's the "Mean Boxer Marsupial", which could give any boxer a run for their money.

There's the "Takin' The Bin For A Spin", which is a sound that all Australians are familiar with.

And there's the Barkin' Doggo Man ("And They Came Bounding Over"), which is my personal favourite because it's one of the funniest memes to exist in Australian culture.

The introduction also pays tribute to cooked Australian behaviours, like not giving a fuck about dangerous animals in the water while you're trying to enjoy a bevvie.

Being terrorised by magpies during swooping season, which occurs during spring for any non-Aussies reading this.

Using anything and everything to have a bit of fun on the weekends, like swinging off your clothes line in the backyard and going ham on DIY water slides.

And not letting anything — including what looks to be tropical cyclone-esque winds — get in the way of an Australian drinking a tinny.

It ends with a cockatoo having a play in the backyard — because lord only knows that if you feed these cheeky buggers just once, they never leave.

After watching the parody, Australians sounded off in the comments with their approval, with one user going so far as to say that "Tourism Australia better pay you for this because I've never seen a video that sums up Australia any better than this."

Hats off to this YouTube user for creating one of the best and most accurate representations of Australia the world has ever seen. And if you haven't already, give the video a watch — it's worth it.

FYI to any non-Australians that are here — it sounds hard to believe, but none of the clips featured in here are out of the ordinary. This is the ~true~ Australia.
