In case you didn't know, the finale for the first ever "The Sims" reality competition show aired last week.
During the finale, one of the contestants mentions having been picked on growing up for being a girl who plays video games.
So, I went to tumblr to see what other girl gamers were saying on the matter. And without further ado, here is the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to being a gamer girl.
1. We can store lots of useful information.
2. We're excellent multitaskers.
3. We're more indecisive when it comes to our game libraries than we are to our closets.
4. Manicures and keyboards/controllers are not friends.
5. Gaming is a two-handed activity so we must. resist. snacks.
Girls love snacks.
6. Whatever you do, don't hurt the animals.
7. A good gamer is a thorough gamer.
8. Until we explore too far and progress the story before we're ready.
9. We know we're in for trouble when that autosave hits.
10. Actually, there are a lot of clues when something is about to go down.
11. We promise we're not obsessed...
12. But we may confuse reality with video games from time to time.
13. This moment is worse than accidentally being put on speaker phone.
14. Let's be honest though, being a girl who games makes some guys uncomfortable.
15. Xbox Live is always a bad idea.
16. We're sick of the same jokes.
17. No one ever thinks to invite us to play.
18. We have a hard time breaking up with gaming buddies.
19. We don't exclusively play girl characters.
20. It's not our fault that support roles are fun to play.
21. We actually possess mythical powers.
Now that I think about it though, I could use this to my advantage...
22. People gotta watch out because gamer girls will destroy.
