Our top 5 favourite Indigenous TikTok Creators that are an absolute must for pique scrolling experience

We've all been there, scrolling through our TikTok FYP to find it repeating the same content over and over and over again. But how do you get out of the loop? Well, you could click the discover button and try to find something worthwhile, which may prove to end up fruitless...

Or you could take our advice and hop on over to #NativeTikTok, where we have it all. From language lessons and educational content to entertainment like comedy and music, once you've made it over to the "deadly side" you'll never want to leave.

The following content creators are some of our personal favourites, and we have a feeling once you see their pages, they'll quickly become yours too.

As you may have guessed from his username, Brandon is of Anishinaabek heritage, and while his following isn't as large as some of the other creators on this list, we can assure you that his content is quality. Providing TikTok users with daily instillations of "Brando's Ojibwe Word of the Day", he is helping to rebuild a lost language connection that so many of our Indigenous youth have struggled with.

We were fortunate enough to reach out and talk with Brandon, and when we asked what being a part of Indigenous TikTok meant to him, he stated "I enjoy being a part of Indigenous TikTok because I can share my knowledge about my culture and make connections with a lot of amazing people."

Sherry is also a member of the Anishinaabek nation and comes from Winnipeg, Manitoba. She is a mom of 4, a deadly comedian, and an amazing advocate for Indigenous issues. Her big smile, laughter, and bubbly energy are sure to put a smile on your face. It is easy to see how she has easily surpassed 485K followers on TikTok.

Hailing from Couchiching First Nation, Ontario, MackSickz brings us some of the most hilarious parody content to be created since Weird' Al was in his prime. The way he can take a classic love song and Indigenize it is *chef's kiss*. Reminding all of us aunties what we should be looking for in an uncle, it is nearly impossible to not jam along when his videos come across your FYP.

Better known to the Native TikTok community as our deadly Auntie, this beautiful creator comes from Treaty 10 Territory (Fond Dul Lac, Sask) and represents so much more than being Indigenous. As a strong member of our Two-Spirited community, they are consistently spreading awareness on not just Indigenous issues, but LGBTQ2S+ as well. Not to mention hitting us with the deadliest makeup tutorials possible. Auntie makes sure we all look snatched while decolonizing our spirits.

We were able to get in touch via their instagram and Auntie hit us with such a powerful message. They said the thing they love the most about Native TikTok is "the ability to unapologetically Indigenous. To be deadly is finally being celebrated. It's such an honour to be a representative and part of this era." We can easily respond to that with the sentiment that Native TikTok is honoured to have them.
