RE: BuzzFeed LIFESTYLE WRITER 5 Reasons To Not Quit Your Daydream

Did you know that a new report from Gallup found that a staggering 70 percent of Americans report feeling unhappy and uninspired in their job? Up until very recently, I was a member of that 70 percent. A 20 (late twenty) something professional that was making a respectable living, yet insanely frustrated that I was not working in my desired field of creative writing. I decided to turn my daydream into reality. I wanted to share all the best reasons to never give up on doing what makes you happy!

1. Actually being EXCITED to wake up for "work"

Most people daydream about their dream job. Daydreams can become reality with a little effort. A change of careers could be a great thing. Getting to do what you love is enough motivation to get out of bed with a smile everyday.

3. Daydreaming is good for you

Via Giphy

Research has shown that daydreaming is kind of like self hypnosis. People that daydream often tend to experience lower levels of stress. Daydreaming is also linked with a healthier brain..

4. You will be an inspiration to others!

Marianne Williamson once said, "And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others". Everyone could use a push or source of inspiration. Be that source!

5. You will build confidence in yourself

Deciding to go after your daydream is a HUGE decision. It's one that takes courage. Doing something that brave makes you realize that you can do ANYTHING!
