This Rapper Is Using His Videos Of The Leytonstone Stabbing To Promote His Music

And some of his followers are not impressed.

This is Big Tobz, a British rapper based in east London. On Saturday night, he was a witness to a stabbing incident at Leytonstone underground station.

Following the attack, which is currently being investigated by police as a potential "terrorist incident", he uploaded two videos from inside the station.

The videos, which showed the attacker confronting and being subdued by police, were quickly shared around the internet. He was also contacted by a number of media outlets, including BuzzFeed News, for interviews and requests to use his video for their reports on the incident.

But when he uploaded a third video from YouTube, many were surprised to find it wasn't more footage of the attack, but rather a promotional video for his mixtape.

That move provoked criticism from some of his Twitter followers, who felt the last tweet was inappropriate at the time.

@BigTobzsf it's really sad that you've taken an opportunity as serious as this to promote your song! May God forgive you.

@BigTobzsf You muppet. That really is scraping the barrel. Instead of videoing in the 1st place how about helping !! Fool

His supporters, however, defended him, and some said he had done nothing wrong by promoting his music.

I personally don't see anything wrong with what @BigTobzsf did, it's just the way the media is set up🤗

@Boasy_Blittz @BigTobzsf u lot take advantage of this free promo g, the media are dumb dey are just helping man get more out dere loool

Big Tobz did not respond to BuzzFeed News' request for comments or an interview, but he has defended his reasons for promoting his music.

everyone whose criticising needs to remember that i am Big Tobz not ITV/BBC/ETC My Twitter was made to promote my music you lot came to me

And in the end, Big Tobz, it appeared, may have been regretting his turn in the spotlight.

not gonna lie i wanna be left alone now, this has been non stop since yesterday
