February's Best New Adult Romance

This season has been unseasonably warm in more ways than one.

If you haven't read Helena Hunting's PUCKED series, you are missing out on some of the best book boyfriends out there. Hunting's writing is emotional, hilarious, and sexy. I started this one night with the intention of reading a few chapters before bed. Then, I don't know what happened, but I read the whole book and didn't sleep. Oops.

NOVA by Rebecca Yarros

Last year, Rebecca Yarros blew me away with the first book in this series, Wilder. As far as super sexy daredevil heroes go, I didn't think Paxton Wilder could be topped. I was wrong. Landon "Nova" Rhodes is more than a book boyfriend. He's a book soulmate. Rachel, though, is one of the strongest, most badass heroines I've read in a long time. I want to be her.

ROYALLY MATCHED by Emma Chase

Emma Chase takes all the things I love about Regency romance - aristocracy & royalty, beautiful wallflowers, balls & Seasons - and makes it fresh & contemporary. Our prince (yes, an actual prince) teams up with a reality producer for a season of being fought over by a gaggle of well-bred ladies desperate for a chance at a diamond tiara and his heart. I didn't expect this to work as well as it did, but I loved every page.

ROMAN by Sawyer Bennett

Are Hockey players hotter than other sports stars? I don't know, but they seem to appear in new adult romance more and I'm not complaining. Roman is #7 in Sawyer Bennet's Cold Fury series. You don't have to read all 7 in order, but you really shouldn't miss out on #4, Ryker, before you fall in love with Roman.

SILVER EDGE by Ciara Knight

Silver Edge doesn't get super steamy, but it made the list because I've never read anything like it. Scarlet is neurodivergent - likely she has Aspergers Syndrome - and is extremely sensitive to light, sound, and smells. She's had a tough life, but Drake, with his combination of hot and sweet, is her perfect match. He is understanding and gentle, but that doesn't stop the sexual tension from creating sparks. You'll want to savor this read.
