Why All The Hype Over Pinterest?

As someone who manages social media for several different clients, anything social media is a huge interest to me. When Pinterest was first introduced to the world, I will be honest, I dismissed it. To me, it was nothing more than a website to go to when I needed a craft idea for a group of kids! Boy, was I wrong! I can’t tell you the number of clients I work with who are adding their business pages onto Pinterest. Why? It is getting them seen more and more. And better yet, this is a free marketing option for any business. So, really the question is what does a business have to lose in trying this medium out? Nothing at all!

The good news is that you are not going to find it much different from the personal use of Pinterest that you are doing. You will need to pin original images to promote your business or even business products that you may be offering. A few other tips:

    - Be sure that the boards you have on Pinterest are going to represent your business

    - Be sure to pin a variety of items to your boards

    - Be sure to follow other businesses, especially those whom you work with
