1. For the first date, always meet in a public place, preferably during the day time.
2. Always tell a friend where you're going and what time you expect to be back home.
3. Don't have your date pick you up if the first time you're meeting them! You don't want them to know your address and you also want the option of going home on your own time.
4. Know your drinking limits! Don't let anyone take advantage of you when you're not fully alert.
5. Always be yourself!
