41 Toys That *Don't* Make Sounds

...because kids have enough toys with irritating sounds and ear-piercing horns.

    1. Crayola Globbles, a fun lil' toy they can use to burn off some steam when they need a quick mental break from their homework and wish they could be playing outside instead. Don't worry, they won't leave residue on your walls.

Six colored balls in yellow packaging
Reviewer's video showing the sticky balls sliding down the wall

Promising review: "I waited over two months to write my review! My daughter is 4 and plays with these DAILY! YES they do attract dirt and hair HOWEVER they are so easy to rinse off, it's not a big deal! We took these to a family gathering and ended up giving two away because they were SO loved! The two we gave away went to a 12-year-old and my 19-year-old brother. They discovered throwing them at the ceiling fan and watching them shoot across the room which was pretty entertaining! None of these have busted or ripped and they are definitely NOT gentle with them! I will definitely be buying more!" —Kindle Customer

    2. A Magna-Tiles set that'll surely be a big hit with any budding architect. They can use it to build all kinds of cool 3D structures, then knock 'em down and start again the next day.

multicolored square and triangular magnetic tiles fashioned into a tower
    Amazon

The set comes with translucent magnetic pieces to build 3D creations all day. Recommended for ages 3 and up.

Promising review: "I have a 4-year-old daughter who likes to build things and I want to encourage that. One review recommended Magna-Tiles, so I took a shot in the dark and got these. They were an instant hit! I never could imagine my kids would have liked a toy this simple. My daughter doesn't have the greatest fine motor skills so building toys that need tools would have been frustrating for her. With Magna-Tiles, you just hold pieces next to each other and they snap together! They have great balance, too. She's made pretty skinny 3D towers out of triangles and they get pretty high before they fall apart. Now I just have to get a bigger set to add on! :D Try these, you'll love them!" —Green

The set also comes with instructions on how to make the BIGGEST bubbles possible! It's great for kids of all ages.

Promising review: "The wand is awesome, but even MORE awesome is that I just used regular bubble solution (way cheaper, found anywhere) and it worked just as well. Maybe better. Some people in reviews have said that you must use the packets that come with the wand, but I gave it a shot anyway with regular bubbles and it worked just fine, with no noticeable difference." —Lauri

I highly recommend this item for 18-months-old and up. I bought a pink one for our 18-month-old granddaughter, and she too is just enthralled with it and the 'power' she has to erase, create, erase, create! Child model playing with colorful wooden tool kit
    Amazon

Includes: wooden tool box, hammer, screwdriver, wrench, three sets of screw and screw caps, board connector, two gears and plastic nail.

Promising review: "After watching his dad and me put together his new toddler bed, my son got super excited over 'helping' to fix things, but of course letting him use real metal tools wasn’t something I wanted to do just yet...so I was trying to choose between a plastic set of tools that were cartoonish styled, and this wooden set that was a little more expensive. I am soooo glad I got this set instead! It’s not been out of the box more than 30 minutes, and he has learned how to hammer in 'nails,' take them out again with the back of the hammer, use a wrench and screw driver in tandem to work a 'screw' and 'bolt,' as well as put gears on the side of the kit so that they spin each other. The tools are all very well made but not heavy, so there’s no fear of him breaking stuff if he decides to run around hammering things." —Khestra

    Newton

I have this "couch" for my son and it has already served MANY purposes in our home. We currently have it set up as a ramp which he loves climbing up and sliding down all day long (a huge parenting win, if you ask me). It's also obscenely comfortable (like your favorite memory foam mattress), so you better believe I've been laying on it in the play room while we watch Encanto for the trillionth time. My sister recently stayed with us and set the larger cushions up as a mattress each night — she said it was the best sleep she's ever had here! I also love that, with so many pieces, we have so many options for imaginative play. It's easy to set up the cushions as a a tunnel or a fort or a mini obstacle course. This is an item that's going to grow with my son and continue to be a go-to option for fun in my house.

Promising review: "We absolutely love our Figgy couch. It's something we've used every day since purchasing. The older kids come over and build forts for my little guy, and every night I build a fort for us to read in. On weekends my husband and I make a bed and watch movies on our living room floor. I'm constantly steaming or washing the covers cause kids are gross but the process is very simple. I plan in purchasing another set when we move into a bigger place. I've recommended them to a few people who have also bought a set." —Gerilyn T.

Then we play it and every option on the game he actually thinks really hard then says 'come on mommy' and runs me through the house to find the object. Promising review: "This craft was a hit! The fox was very easy to put together and it turned out so cute! You have to make the tutu by tying a bunch of knots but other than that all of the clothes are ready to go and do not require sewing! The fox came with a little fabric bag to conveniently store it for travel. The materials in the craft are good quality and hopefully will last a while. Promising review: "These are just what I needed! I bought these for my 1-year-old and while I know she’s not quite ready to really be cleaning, she really tries to help me when I’m doing it. I figured why not grab her her own set to foster some independence and start helping her momma out lol. The stand is easy as pie to assemble, literally stick it in and go. It’s totally functional as well. We haven’t tried the mop one out for real, but it is absorbent because she’s used it while I was Swiffering. Packaging for this product is great as well." —Danae Baptiste
