18 Reasons You Can't Handle Brazil

Think you can handle some Brazil in your life? Maybe you can. But then again...maybe you can't. It's a pretty beautiful/amazing/wonderful/magical/sexy place.

1. Affection

People in Brazil are affectionate. Really affectionate. Huggin' and kissin' is just a part of the culture. So if you can't handle that, then buddy...not really sure there's any hope for you.

2. The people in Brazil are very attractive.

4. You can drink booze pretty much anywhere.

In Brazil, it's legal to drink in the street and in cars (as long as you're not the one driving). Cheers!

5. Cachaça

First off, it's pronounced "CA-SHA-SA," not "CA-CHA-CA" like you probably thought. But that's OK. Made from fermented and distilled sugarcane juice, cachaça is one of the most popular alcoholic beverages in Brazil.

6. Caipirinha

Remember cachaça? How could you forget! The caipirinha is kind of like a Brazilian margarita. It's made with cachaça, sugar, crushed limes, and served over ice. As you can probably tell from the photo, a caipirinha is super refreshing on a hot day.

It's pronounced "Ah-Sigh-EE," and it is SO FLIPPIN' GOOD IT'S NOT EVEN FAIR. AND IT'S SO GOOD FOR YOU IT'S UPSETTING. CAN'T HANDLE IT (almost).

These little cherries are super popular in Brazil not only for their sweet, tangy taste but for their rich nutritional value as well.

9. MEAT

Brazil eats a lot of meat. Can you hang with that? This is a typical churrasco, which is basically a barbecue with a bunch of different meats laid out on it. HNNNGGHHH.

10. The Samba

Ahhhh, the samba. The infectious, sexy dance that'll make you want to shake your butt. No one is immune to its charms.

11. Oh, and they seriously love soccer.

If you look at any Brazilian person close enough and whisper the word "fútbol," their eyes will turn into little hearts. These are just facts, folks.

12. There's tons of beautiful wildlife to see.

14. Winter is mild as heck and so enjoyable.

15. The natural beauty throughout Brazil is INSANE.

Take the Iguazu Falls, for example. They lie on the border of Brazil and Argentina and are unimaginably gorgeous.

17. 60% of Brazil is the friggin' Amazon Rainforest.

There's about 1.85 MILLION square miles of rainforest in Brazil.

That's home to nearly 8,000 species of tree and 56,000 species of plant.

This glorious part of Brazil literally breathes in a whole bunch of Earth's carbon dioxide and turns it into sweet, sweet oxygen.

18. They have the longest beach in the world.

Praia do Cassino beach is over 150 miles in length. That's a whole lot of slo-mo running you can do.
