Here's How You Dye Your Clothes Indigo Giving You A Whole New Sense Of Style

    New wardrobe, who this?

    What you need:

    * 5 gallon bucket

    * 4 gallons of warm water

    * 250 grams of reducing agent

    * 20 grams of indigo dye

    * Rubber gloves

    * Indigo dye kit

    * Stirring spoon

    * Whatever you want to dye—make sure it’s white and cotton!

    Instructions:

    *This works best outside on grass*

    1. Pour the water in the bucket. Add the reducing agent, and mix until dissolved.

    2. Add the indigo dye and mix thoroughly. Cover and let sit for 30 minutes.

    3. Meanwhile, fold your cotton garments into whatever pattern you want, and tie with rubber bands if necessary.

    4. Submerge them in the dye slowly, squeezing out any air bubbles. Let sit for 3 minutes.

    5. Remove garments from the dye, squeezing out the excess dye.

    6. Let hang or lay out on a surface you don’t mind staining for 20 minutes.

    7. Repeat this process once more.

    8. Rinse all garments in cold water, untie/unfold, and hang until dry.

    *Dye will drip off of the fabric, so make sure it’s either hung over grass or a tarp*

    9. Machine wash cold and hang dry.

    Enjoy!
