Stuffed Crust Pizza As Made By Jackson

Servings: 4

1 cup water, warm

1 0.25-ounce packet dry active yeast

½ teaspoon sugar

2½ cups flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil

8-9 sticks string cheese

Pizza sauce, to preference

Shredded mozzarella, to preference

Toppings of preference (we used pepperoni and basil)

¼ cup butter, melted

1 tablespoon garlic salt


# Preheat oven to 425°F/220°C.

# Combine water with sugar and yeast, mix thoroughly and let bloom for 5-10 minutes.

# Add flour, salt, and olive oil, and mix thoroughly until a dough forms. Cover and rest for 30 minutes.

# Sprinkle flour over a baking sheet, and transfer dough to the baking sheet. Roll out dough to form a circle.

# Line string cheese along the edges of the crust. Fold dough over the string cheese, making sure to securely tuck it under to ensure the cheese doesn’t leak out.

# Top crust with marinara, mozzarella, and toppings of choice. Brush crust with butter and top with garlic salt.

# Bake 15-20 minutes, until crust is golden brown.
