I'm obsessed with mascara. There's just something about really thick, long lashes that I love. And because I love mascara so much, I've tried every cult mascara in the book, both drugstore and higher-end.
But nothing has ever taken the place of my beloved, my OG, the Maybelline Colossal Mascara ($7.59 on Amazon). This thing lengthens, volumizes, curls, and somehow gets even better as you use it, and it dries out a little.
I have literally been wearing this mascara since 2007, and I have receipts.
My favorite thing about this mascara is how defined it makes my lower lashes, without smudging or clumping.
The brush is packed with wavy bristles that cradle and lift your lashes, giving the appearance of falsies. The trick to volume is not being shy about coating your lashes several times.
The formula is packed with collagen to plump lashes without clumping. And look at this beautiful midnight black color!
