Tiffany Haddish Spoke Candidly About Her Breakup With Common, Which She Said Wasn't "Mutual," And It Got Me In My Feels

    A missing birthday invitation is not a good sign...

    Tiffany Haddish opened up about her relationship with Common.

    In an interview with the Washington Post, Tiffany described their relationship as "the healthiest, the funnest relationship I’ve ever had."

    She also said: "It’s where I felt safest out of all the relationships I’ve ever had."

    The pair first met back in 2019 on the set of The Kitchen where he played her love interest.

    Then, they reconnected when popular dating app Bumble approached the comedian for a partnership, and she recruited the rapper to join in on the fun.

    Here's a clip of their virtual Bumble date where you can see their chemistry shine through.

    Later, it was revealed on an Instagram Live with Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union that the two were quarantining together.

    However, the pair broke up a year later with a source telling People, "They are never in the same city together, and both of them are just too busy for a serious relationship."

    After the breakup, Common appeared on Fox Soul's Hollywood Unlocked with Jason Lee Uncensored and said his relationship with Tiffany was "the most mature relationship I have been in." However, when the two transitioned from the pandemic into the real world, their busy schedules didn't allow enough time for them to nurture their relationship.

    Well, Tiffany revealed to the Washington Post, it wasn't exactly mutual. She explained, "It was more him saying, ‘I think this relationship has run its course.’ And I was like, ‘Okay. Like, you gonna be a 50-year-old single man. Okay?'"

    Tiffany also divulged Common had begun to withdraw and stopped inviting her to events like "a concert in New York, a birthday party for Barack Obama," and even "Common’s own birthday." He then eventually called to break up with her over the phone.

    It's not the end for Tiffany, though! She's since been on dates and remains hopeful she'll find her person.
