This Artist Brought Harry Potter Textbooks To Life In A Really Awesome Way

From potions to charms and every magical beast in between, Brazilian freelance illustrator Gabriel Picolo is making art pieces that gather admirers by the thousands.

In the wonderful suburbs of São Paulo, lives self-taught sketch artist extraordinaire Gabriel Picolo.

One day, Gabriel felt inspired to illustrate famous spells and creatures from J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World as if they were coming out of the very pages Harry and his friends read.

A raging Potterhead himself, Gabriel's platforms are filled with fan art from different universes that have earned him the love and loyalty of his passionate supporters.

He's been doodling as just a hobby since he was a child. But now Gabriel has taken it on to draw content more often and extensively for the past three years.

Picolo's textbook series consist of special lessons from Harry's years at Hogwarts, most of them accompanied with a description or quote taken from the franchise.

"He's imagining an entire fanbase's beloved heroes in a way that's completely his own. These glimpses from their lives are not only very refreshing, they're sometimes even downright endearing. It's incredible work." an anonymous critic had to say of his craft.

At just 22 years old, his talent has granted him over 5.7 million views on DeviantArt, 726k followers in Instagram and about 396k likes on his Facebook page.

If you aren't following Mr. Picolo, you really should. Because Gabriel is just getting started. He plans to keep updating this project with new sketches for all of us to enjoy.

He encourages people to feel free and leave suggestions on any of his platforms what he should draw next.

Until then, we'll admire the ones we have so far.

Thanks Gabriel, you make us feel good. ❤️
