    Dealing With School's Bullsh*t

Here are some tips to help get you through the miserable years of school!

6 Tips For Putting Up With School

The first thing I have to say is that I actually like learning. I know right, shocker. But I think there is a difference between school and learning. In school, you have to deal with annoying teenagers (even if you are one) and teachers who don't even want to be there. Now learning is completely different. Learning is where you expand your mind and get experiences that make you more of yourself and help you know more about activities in the outside world.

I have a few tips on how to deal with school and I'm not saying I've done this for a long time. (still in high school and still hating it), but I am smart enough on how to work the school program to give some tips. So, let's do this.

    1. Don't try to break the system

I know that school gets really annoying, but walking out in the middle of class and talking back to teachers won't get you anywhere. If anything, kissing up and being EXTRA nice will get you very far. Teachers don't get the best respect all the time, so when they're grading your high B paper, they will think back to the time when you said you adored their outfit and will bump it up to an A.

    2. Turn things in on time

School is more of a test if you can turn things in on time rather than a test of the actual subject. Don't get me wrong, you still have to know the information, but it will kill your grade if you just don't turn anything in. You would rather have a 42 than a 0. I would suggest keeping some type of agenda or bullet journal!

    3. Trust your friends to do their part

In a project, don't stress yourself out. I actually recently had a problem with this. I had three "friends" telling me not to try them in for not doing the project we were all assigned. I wasn't sure what to do, considering they were calling me their friend, and let's be honest, I could use some more. But I wasn't able to be okay with letting them get away with forcing me to do the whole project. I soon learned that if they were friends, they wouldn't have left the entire project for me to do. I told the teacher and was able to get the grade I deserved.

    4. Mental health is priority

If you have a million projects and five assignments onto of that, just go to sleep. I know in that time you feel like you need to do it, but keep in mind that the work you might do won't be the best that you can do. It won't be the end of the world if you turn in an assignment a day or two late. And I know I sound crazy saying this, but it is very important that you're able to tell yourself when you need to stop.

    5. Make school fun

Keep in mind you are in school to be the best student you can be. School feels like it will never end, so while you're there, try to enjoy it. The best way I found to do this is to just smile and try to make other people excited about school. Try to get others to do their work, and in the process, you will be forced to do yours. I swear if you smile and try to enjoy what you're learning, you will find something you like in the sea of useless information.

    6. Try to do your best

Finally, try to do your best. You aren't in school your entire life. School is the easiest way to get an abundance of information in a short class period. Plus while you're in school you will learn a ton of things, but the things that you retained after you are out of school is your education. While you're there, try to get a real education instead of half doing it and coming out of high school with less than what you could have gotten.

Those were my six tips on how to make school bearable! I hope they will help you and remember to take everything with a grain of salt. Not all of these will work for everyone, so take the ones that will work for you and alter them to fit your lifestyle!
