DIY Geometric Mobile
INSTRUCTIONS
# Sand corner of a wood block.
# Press a nail firmly into sanded edge of the block to form a pilot hole.
# Screw in the screw eye into the pilot hole.
# Mask wood block from corner to corner.
# Paint exposed wood and allow paint to dry.
# Repeat steps with four wood blocks.
# Cut wire to lengths of 6 inches, 9 inches, 12 inches, 15 inches, and four at 4 inches.
# Take the 6-inch wire and using needle nose pliers bend two small loops at both ends.
# Bend two loops at both ends of the 4-inch wire.
# On the 6-inch wire, bend open a jump ring and attach it and a block to the left side loop and close the jump ring.
# On the 4-inch wire open another jump ring attach it to a block and a loop then close the jump ring.
# Attach the other end of the 4-inch wire to the 6-inch wire with a jump ring.
# Lift the center of 6-inch wire with needle nose pliers. Carefully find the balance point and twist the wire fully around the pliers to form a loop.
# Take the 9-inch wire and form loops at both ends with the needle nose pliers.
# Bend two loops at both ends of a 4-inch wire.
# Open a jump ring and attach it to one end of the 6-inch wire and one end of the 4-inch wire and seal it shut.
# Attach a wood block to the other end of the 4-inch wire with the jump ring.
# Take the 6-inch and 4-inch wire made earlier and attach the top loop to the free loop on the 9-inch wire with a jump ring.
# Pick up the 9-inch with a pair of needle nose plier and find the balance point. Bend the 9-inch wire’s end with a single wood block fully around the pliers to form a loop.
# Repeat steps 15-19 with the 12-inch and 15-inch wire.
# Hang the mobile with fishing line and enjoy!
